Honestly a pretty even match that they won with a great goal. It took a piece of brilliance to win a 0-0 draw.

If we go there with a fully fit squad, I have a lot of confidence that we win that game. However whatever ****ing injury curse has already cost us 4 of our best players. Definitely feels like we are getting screwed over there by the soccer gods.

Add in that Liverpool have required 2 90+ minute winners and a brilliant fk to stay undefeated and it already feels like we have zero destiny to ever win another title.

The other team drives fancy cars and live in expensive houses too.

If we were chelsea VAR would have overruled the goal for the liverpool player running to close behind the wall.

Feel like this is gonna cause issues with the squad. They just spent 90m for Ekitike, who is playing well. Then they turn around and spend 130m on another ST? Don't see how they accommodate their "star" players without playing someone out of position.

If things go well, it seems like we'll have a decent influx of cash next summer. And if we sell Martinelli, and it feels like that's where this is headed (it's certainly very early in the season and things can change), we'll ought to have the cash available to try to add that final big piece on the left wing.

I'm also wondering if we see Ben White move next summer. It just feels like between Timber and the injury issues, he might desire a fresh start somewhere else.

Saliba going to be out at least a month with ankle sprain

A pretty positive international break for once. A lot of our guys either didn't play/start both matches so some extra rest and when they did play, they performed really well.

Madueke continues to look like a good player. Started both games for England and scored his 1st England goal. He also created an own goal in the first match.

Rice played both games and had 1 goal/2 assists

MLS and Eze played 1 game

Martinelli and Gabriel only played the first game for Brazil

Calafiori only played in the first game for Italy

Hincapie looked really good in Ecuador's win over Argentina

Odegaard played 1.5 games for Norway and looked really good yesterday. 2 assists and 1 goal

Merino scored 4 goals and Zubimendi had 1 assist for Spain

Gyokeres kinda struggled (as did Sweden) but had an assist in their first game.

Nwaneri scored for the England U21s

Dowman was starting for the England U19s and won another penalty

And best of all it looks like nobody was hurt.

True but MLS needs to get much better. It still too much a landing place for aging stars. Every time I watch the games (not often) there is still such a quality gap vs even lower divisions in England.
