A less than memorable win but those are nice too. Boring ass soccer makes the league winnable but damn it's not entertaining. Keep it up and bore everyone to death.


Six points clear of the closest real contender. If we were that far behind, many in here would say that our chances are done.

We have Burnley this coming week, so maybe we can rest everyone up a little. Play the academy kids in the League Cup.

Seen a lot of people saying to throw the U21s out there and throw this competition, but I'm not there. We haven't won anything in 5 years. I know this is the lowest priority but its still a trophy. Brighton is gonna throw out a good team.

Obviously need to make a lot of rotation. Here's what I'd do.

Agreed. Heavy rotation. Opportunity to get depth some minutes. I'd would 1000% have some u21s on the bench and if we can get 2-3 up I'd be bringing on atleast a couple of those u21s.

Yeah I don't agree with the U21 approach either, we have an almost full squad of good depth that needs minutes, use this competition for that

In absence of Havertz…and I know this will never happen…but I think Califiori could play as a 9. Has the size for a target man and damn if he isn't a great finisher/ball striker.

I don't know about at the 9 necessarily, but I want to see that dude on the pitch more regardless. Feels like we're leaving a lot of meat on the bone with that dude

I've been saying since we signed him he could be a winger.

I don't know about striker. I feel like one of his big gifts is that he can and does drive the ball forward with a purpose, and in a way we've been begging for for several years.

Having his back to goal or having him close to the goal where he doesn't have space to drive forward might not be his thing.

But who knows. Maybe his determined style means he'll turn and rip a shots off with a vengeance.

Would be worth a try next time we're up a couple.

At get what you are saying but nobody is point to the League Cup if it's the only trophy we win. It's barely a step below the Club World Cup, in my opinion.
