Find matches while you're there. Suck it up and join supporters clubs for matches you'll attend. Get seats in family section.

Look for lower divisions and non league. Lots of great football and fun to be had.

There's a thread from last season that had some good advice with a dad and sons taking a soccer trip. You might want dig that one up.

I've used FootballTicketNet several times and it's been fine. It got a little hairy the Thanksgiving after COVID and they tried to use entry into the country as an excuse to not give me tickets to Chelsea vs Man U at Samford Bridge but I was able to email enough with them to where I received the tickets. I had already used them to see Man City vs PSG in the Etihad earlier in the week - Yes, one of the best weeks of football watching possible with Messi, Neymar, Mbappe on PSG at the time and then CR with ManU. Not to mention the ManCity and Chelsea sides.

In the past, the anxiety driven aspect is you don't receive tickets until a day or two prior to the match and they are usually delivered to your hotel - but many are now being delivered via mobile.
