They are saying they intent to go after 2 signings.

Rumors are all on Rodrygo and Bruno Guimaraes, but as far as strikers go, seems they might not get any big names but looking for up and commers. Alot of that 90m may also go toward resigning Rodri.

Aaaand now there's word that Oscar Bobb broke his leg.
So maybe that changes the trajectory of targets.

Here's to another championship season.

Just watched my recording of the game. I was thinking Kovacic was having a crazy good game and then he scores the clincher moments later.

I love Rico Lewis over Kyle Walker. Lewis was getting in to dangerous spots the entire first half before we sat back a little more in the 2nd. He tucks in to the midfield well, finds space really nicely, and he is just more technically gifted than Walker. I know Pep likes that Walker can chase people down when the opposing team is on the break, but Walker is also basically useless in the attacking 3rd.

Savinho was amazing and hopefully he is ok.

Biggest takeaway may be that Ederson can't be keeper 1 much longer. He was so shaky all game. He clearly has no confidence right now when catching the ball.

Really weird from ederson. Hope his ship gets righted soon.

Love it. I've grown tired of Silva over the past season and Gundogan is a massive upgrade in that spot.

Give me Ortega. I realize he cant pass the ball 50 yards downfield like Ederson, but i dont trust Ederson. Ever since Ortega stopped Son 1v1 to win the title, im all in on him.

I know it seems weird because he's scored some big time goals in big moments just in the past 18 months, but I think his general play has fallen off in a big way. He isn't nearly as good at taking guys on anymore. He used to always get past guys and now he gets dispossessed way more often than not. He disappears and is non threatening for very long stretches. I think he's really turnover prone now. It seems like this has been the case for most of the past year.

I thought he was having a truly awful game against Chelsea up until he made a nice pass that got Rico Lewis in on goal somewhere around the 70 minute mark. I know he was given an assist on the Haaland goal but what bit of skill did that require? About 15 minutes in to the game, the announcers were saying how well Cucurella was playing. Well it looked like he was playing well because he took the ball from Silva a few times. After the fact, it is widely accepted that Cucurella had a terrible game.

Silva and Kyle Walker are guys that really soured on me over the course of the last year.

What a wild game.

I'm liking what I see from Savinho. Hope he gets a a goal.

Had no idea who he was before this summer and all I've seen him do in every game he's played is dominate the right wing. Whatever we paid, it was a steal.

I don't know if I can survive 70 more minutes of this.

Silva continues to grind my gears. Doku created more chances in his 10 minutes than Silva did in his 80. Also Silva scuffed a really good chance early in the game.
