This is where I am too. Failing to advance out of group is enough to move on from GB. But does USSF have the guts to admit they made a mistake and let him go? Probably not. Also LOL at hiring Arena (again).
Anyway, Weah's punch is inexcusable. CCV had an awful game. The shot that won the match for Panama is exactly the type of shot that Turner is elite in saving. All in all just an awful night for everyone.
Also, for those keeping score at home, Gregg was wearing military blue Jordan 4's tonight.

The officiating in CONCACAF is so poor. Too many times we see refs in this region having no control over matches. A lot of these tackles and red cards could be prevented with proper officiating from the onset.

Well, he's a coach, and GGG is a coach, and I pretty much loath both of them at this point so go ahead and blame away.

Honestly the red card is a poor excuse when the difference in quality is as high as it is between US and Panama.
Maybe I'm spoiled by having the 2022 DFB Pokal final in my recent memory banks, but a 10 man team can and should dominate a lesser opponent. It's about mentality.
I'm probably wrong here, but I think playing it safe to preserve a draw was the wrong move… look what happened when we actually started attacking at the end of the game! They couldn't hang and they got carded themselves. We needed a lot more of that.

They seem to always let teams get under their skin and commit stupid game changing penalties. I just don't get the sense that teams play hard or organized for him.
However, as others have said. That ref completely lost control of this game by not yellow-carding that jackwagon that purposely ran into the US keeper. That is pure yellow. NOTHING.
I even wonder if the guy that slammed 22 shouldn't have gotten a red instead of a yellow for intentionally and purposefully putting his shoulder into Scally's back. You could see it on the replay how purposeful his attack was and after the red to Weah for pushing that dude's head - it would seem to me another red should have been pulled.
The US always struggles against teams that "bully" them and play a little dirty. Our response is weak. Pretty much as weak as GB. Dude needs to hit the gym or something.
I guess we pray that Uruguay rests their studs and let's us win so we can get through?
