And they made it basically an international version of pro/rel to ensure that their strongest teams play each other. And the competition results in WC spots directly.

If I lived in Europe, I'd absolutely love it.

Berhalter's USA hoodie is peach…why?
My HS son saw that and said, 'Oh man, he always has a nice fit. His shoe collection is legit'.

I thought he was talking about a player until I realized he was talking about Greg.

No, this was a friendly and he's not cap tied.

Gotcha. I knew last night didn't tie him up, but Didn't know if we'd ever gotten him a couple minutes in a meaningful game.
oh no

just curious. what's the urgency to cap-tie him? he's only 18 and very promising, but we also have a pretty strong midfield pipeline and i have no idea how hard Argentina has tried to get him in to their camps

There really isn't a reason not to, from our side. I'd rather have more options than less.

But as long as Argentina isn't going at him hard, youre probably right; there is no hurry. But if they do....

I actually have confidence in the current leadership team in winning over dual nationals. Dest, Musah, Pepi, Tilman, Balogun and etc.

Think Berhalter is playing the long game with Cremaschi by getting him into the team and see the culture and get him on the group texts so the core members of the team will continue to win him over.

Dual-nationals have the distinct advantage of not having helicopter parents with USSF history. Of course Ggg loves 'em.

Idk. Aren't military families the OG helicopter parents?

Very pleased with Lund. Dude looked fast.

Cremaski or whatever his name is, looked slow. Dude would probably be a lot faster if he cut that mop on his head.

Paredes is someone I would like to see more of.

I think Cremaschi was mostly slow because of nerves. His first 2 touches were shaky af and he looked like he was paralyzed with nerves. He eventually settled in and had a couple of near assists, but rough debut for sure. C grade.

I wish I knew more on the Argentina/US stuff in regards to him -- I don't know if he wasn't offered a spot on the Argentina side and defaulted to us as a result or if he prioritized us over Argentina. Just interesting with him playing with Messi in Miami

quick google earlier today seemed to indicate he played with US U-17 and Argentina U-19 before, but I believe he's American born and raised and has only played in us clubs, MLS next, etc. Just has some Argentine heritage that makes him eligible.

Cremaschi just never gets sped up, that's one of the things I like about him.

And Oman's goalie looked like a high school guidance counselor.

But the important thing is how much depth we seem to have, pretty heartening as a national team fan.
