Seeing we lost our team doc, O'Driscol, to Man Utd. I wonder if that's going to have much of an impact.

Based on pictures and video, Saliba is training with the first team (so presumably fit). Haven't seen anything with Patino in it.

I forget about Marquinhos sometimes. 2023-2024 feels really important for his Arsenal career. Needs to integrate into the team or needs to have a really successful loan. Last year was not good.

Outside shot he stays to be the #2 left-footed W but my guess is that he gets loaned.

No idea what happens to Marquinhos (probably gets loaned) but I feel like he has something to his game. I hope we keep him in some capacity.

Yeah Arsenal's biggest issue is that Balogun has only got 2 years on his deal. I'm hoping he tears up the preseason and we decide to try our hardest to keep him and move Nketiah on. Nketiah is a decent #2 and a really good finisher but lacks in other parts of his game. I also think he is much closer to his ceiling right now than Balogun is.

Problem is supposedly Balogun wants to be the #1 and like that video says, he just isn't there yet for a team at Arsenal's level. He must likely isn't signing a new deal unless he has some big promises that he is going to get the game time he wants. He's coming off a great loan and his value is high right now. That value will go down if he spends most of his time on the bench this season. Unfortunately, Arsenal are also in need of getting some cash coming in. We've been god awful at selling players for forever and we've spent a ton over the last 4 years rebuilding the squad. I've heard Arsenal are asking 40-50m for Balogun right now, but I don't think they'll get that much. Most Euro teams can't afford it other than other PL teams and the ones that he would start at probably can't afford it either.

I bet he would stay at Arsenal if Nketiah was moved and/or he had confidence he was 2nd choice. But if he didn't, I would take him at United for 40 million given some of the price tags that have been slapped onto the players they are interested in. Of course I would fully expect Arsenal to block that but if you wanted to get someone to pay a premium for him, tell Mikel to call up United.

I agree with you that it is likely Eddie or Balogun and that we could get Balogun to extend if Eddie was moved out. I think they will sell Balogun though because they can get more cash now but I think they work a sell on or buyback into the deal. Chelsea are rumored to be sniffing around but I honestly don't see us selling to them or ManU because I don't think either of you will accept the clauses.
