I still feel we should not sell. He would be an upgrade vs Eddie and could get plenty of playing time.

My guess is that he sealed his fate with the demand to not go on loan and to effectively be guaranteed to be the starting ST somewhere. Had he kept his mouth shut there is a very good chance that he would have been brought back and allowed to push Jesus for the #1. Instead Arteta sees a 21yo that is entitled and he decides that it is in the team's best interest for him to be sent out. I'd bet money that we don't include a buyback either.

Seeing multiple ITKs who've been accurate so far saying that we've already gone back in with another bid for Rice.

I imagine the club had multiple packages already set and mapped out.

I've seen this as well. Also lots of buzz about Havertz deal being nearly agreed. Rumored fee is 40+20 with a 5+1 deal agreed with Kai.

Probably, Arteta seems like an intense dude that doesn't put up with much, to our benefit and maybe to our detriment sometimes. Although the way you're wording it, makes it seem like Balogun doesn't really want to be sold while I'm not sure Balogun feels any preference towards Arsenal

If true, I assume this is a Havertz OR Diaby situation. Can't imagine we would add both. Diaby would bring more speed. Havertz would bring more height and likely more positional versatility.

Balogun interviewed after US vs Canada and his tube has changed slightly. Still saying that he doesnt wanna go on loan. Now saying that he either wants to be sold or integrated into Arsenal 1st team.

Reports were either wrong or he wised up and changed his tune. If we snag Havertz, Id like to sell Eddie and integrate Balogun. Think he has a brighter future than Eddie and we would have both Trossard & Havertz as backups if he falters.

You have a good point but you also have to look at the fact that he just turned 30 and this season was the 1st in his 3 years at Arsenal that he was able to play 30+matches (28 starts). While he played 30+ he tailed off a great deal at the end of the season so you could argue that he probably was only really effective for 25 at most. Also, if you look over the course of his career, this season was the 3rd most minutes & starts he has played for club in his entire career and the most he has played in 3 years. Is this what we should expect from him going forward?

It is a risk to sell him and move on but it is a change that likely needs to happen sooner or later. Probably stronger bringing in Rice and keeping Partey but if a Saudi club will give us 40+ now that is a risk that may be worth it.

Everything I have seen points to him being a younger, shorter & little faster version of White. Much more of a defensive FB with several references to him being best as a RCB in a 3 back system. That fits White's role to a T.

We were effectively in a 3 man back line last season. KT would give us a rotational option as a 3-man LCB as well as a WB.

Havertz signing also makes a ton more sense if we plan to switch to a 3-2-3-2 as a base.

Prices are going up but I don't think fan expectations of the prices have adjusted

FIFA probably doesn't help this one. On my CM, I bought Rice for 40m because he had 1 yr left on his deal.
