I think that was part of the plan. Frustrate Argentina with the offside trap. Come out and give it them all the pressure they could in the first 20 mins of the second half to try to get a goal or two, then pack it in for a point, or three if they were lucky.
That said, the Saudi players were very good. The goalie was outstanding. The rb was awesome. The attackers were good. The beat Argentinas finesse with direct play, speed, aggression and athleticism.
They also made very few mistakes

Eh...they're still screwed if they lose to Poland and in good shape if they win. I don't think this result changes things for them that much.
