New idea. Instead of penalty kicks deciding matches, just have alternating corner kicks.

I know that wasn't a corner, but I'm intrigued by the idea of letting set pieces decide the winner.

Clearly, I'd need to work some of the kinks out of the idea, but I'd think so (at least defensively). Perhaps even go a step beyond and send off players for dogso, and eliminate them from participating in future rounds.
