Yep the Auburn defender was lazy get backGap said:
Hayes was definitely not offsides on her first goal. Check out the replay. Auburn's #0 chased Kate Colvin deep into the corner before Colvin crossed the ball to the middle. For some reason #0 lazily stayed down at the endline and for that reason Hayes was absolutely not offsides. It was a mistake that we took advantage of.
The entire play and following replays all start at the 30 second mark of this video. Check out the first replay they show if you are unsure. In this situation the announcer leads everyone astray by just looking at the ball in the middle not understanding where #0 is still.

Well I stand corrected on that one then. A&M deserved to win this game anyway.Gap said:

Late response, but there's a difference in being offside and being in an offside position. The two Auburn players were definitely in an offside position, but they were not interfering in play since the ball did not go in their direction. Thus, they are not considered as being offside.Gap said:
Does the girl in the middle who was offsides matter if she wasn't involved in the play? I don't claim to know the answer to this.
My friend said the girl who scored wasn't offsides. She ran by Leb after the ball was in the air.
And yes I saw the replay on the scoreboard here at the stadium. It shows the Auburn players behind us but it didn't show the play all the way back to the pass from a telling angle.
10 teams make the SEC tourney. Florida and Kentucky are 13 and 14 in the standing.Soccer1 said:
With Florida and Kentucky playing to a draw Sunday it looks like one more win should get us in with 10 points.
Florida has 1 point with 3 games left (Bama, Vandy, A&M) Don't seem them winning the next 3 games to get to 10 points.
Kentucky has 1 point with 3 games left (Mizzou, Georgia, Ark) Don't see them winning the next 3 games to get to 10 points.
Could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.
You don't have to like it. Just giving insight into what happens with the officials, coaches, and players on the field.MookieBlaylock said:
3 players made runs into the box and 2 we're offsides
They absolutely affect the play
That's a gem of an example for all of us to follow.mullokmotx said:
