Must be said. Ryan Reynolds has shown nothing but class since arriving at Wrexham. Treats every opponent with the utmost respect and often reserves praise for Notts County in his interviews. Football needs more owners like himpic.twitter.com/9xc5HBsfyy

All that’s good about sports: Wrexham return to big leagues after 15 long years of toil. Reynolds and McElhenney have shone Hollywood’s spotlight on the proud town in such a thoughtful, joyous and humble way, making collective memories for generations 🏆🏴 pic.twitter.com/HCP4GrxkmA

I'm still not sure I buy that Ryan Reynolds is genuinely into this, but I 100% believe Mac is bought in emotionally.Aston94 said:walton91 said:Must be said. "I wouldn't mind getting Mullin'd"
I feel like Ryan is into it, and cares, but professionally/financially.Quote:

I feel like Rob is 100% roped in emotionally.

You're probably right.
I guess my thinking is....I feel like Ryan would entertain a good offer but Rob would have a hard time selling, just based on their personalities.
But I could be way off.
My take is that they entrench themselves solidly as a professional side and seek promotion to league 1 within the next few seasons. In assume the club's financial picture and ownership structure may change. It also probably depends on how long Ryan and Rob want to stick around and how involved they want to be. At one point or another Ryan and Rob might be done with the project from an ownership/involvement side and step back to being passive owners or something of the sort.oragator said:
What will be interesting to me now is what ownership does with the promotion.

I don't think Ryan sells until they're Premier League and the price tag has a "B" in it.
I think we underestimate how much of a cash cow this is for them already. Their summer tour is going to make a lot of money. If they come to a domed stadium in TX, I will probably be dumb and go.
I'm sure they're killing it in merchandise. Once the stands are rebuilt, ticket sales will go up.
And then there's the show itself, which is outside the financial structure of the club, but makes them money as individuals (that they can then choose to reinvest).
I think they push hard for Championship. Once there - I predict they do an IPO (but retain majority control). That'll generate the additional capital needed to climb the Championship ladder.
Agreed. Its not bad that Ryan is that way, I just think its clear to me Rob is more genuine if that makes sense. Im not anti-Reynolds or anything, big fan of hisAgGrad99 said:I feel like Ryan is into it, and cares, but professionally/financially.Quote:

Are they really going to do a North American tour? They are going to get dumpstered by MLS teams if so.deadbq03 said:

I think you're crazy. There are really big clubs in much bigger cities with much bigger fan bases that are stuck in the Championship/ League 1. Wrexham is a great story but there's knly so far you can climb and recruit people to rural Wales.
In FA Cup, they beat Coventry (better talent than the average MLS team) and lost close to Sheffield U (better talent than the best MLS teams).PatAg said:Are they really going to do a North American tour? They are going to get dumpstered by MLS teams if so.deadbq03 said:

Agree to disagree on the overall talent levels from Championship sides to MLS, and without looking up their rosters I would be surprised if those teams were fielding their full strength against Wrexham in the FA cupdeadbq03 said:In FA Cup, they beat Coventry (better talent than the average MLS team) and lost close to Sheffield U (better talent than the best MLS teams).PatAg said:Are they really going to do a North American tour? And presumably by the tour, they'll have a couple new signings in.
