Also - big league game today that impacts Wrexham… Ipswich can clinch* promotion with a win, but a draw or loss leaves things completely wide open, giving Middlesbrough a shot at getting 2nd.

They'd have a lot more to play for against Wrexham on Saturday if that happened, so I think we have to be Tractor Boys today and pull for Ipswich to win. (That being said, Southampton's form is insanely good and they play at home, so I'm prepared to be disappointed).

*With a 17 goal difference lead over Millwall (which would rise with a win today), I think it's safe to use the word clinch.



Editing to add result: Southampton-Ipswich ended in a draw. So Saints can't get direct promotion anymore, but Middlesbrough could with a win (and Ipswich loss and Millwall draw/loss). Wrexham will be up against it.

Cardif tied with a free kick on the last kick of the game.

Just one of those games. Their keeper was MOTM according to Fotmob and that tells the story. Wrexham could've easily scored 3 this game.

But also Cardiff went balls out at the end. Wrexham nearly committed an own goal around 90' and then the dumb dumb foul to set up Cardiff for that last FK. So close to being a PK.

Got Kabore back from MC - transfer this time! He was great last year.

They also signed a LWB from Ligue 1, so there's gobs of depth on both wings now, and that frees Thomason to be a CDM like he's supposed to be.

I think they need another 9 or 10 and this would be a successful window. Probably gonna take a couple weeks for the squad to shake out and figure out how to play well together… but honestly both draws should have been wins even without these latest wingback signings.

.I'm glad Kabore is back. He made such a difference last year. Didn't understand why he was loaned.

Lost today to Birmingham City

Not a good start to the season. Mirrors last year so far....and that slow start bit them in the butt at the end of the year.

Hope they can turn it around sooner, rather than later.

The team has gotten loads younger, but it's not great that their results since joining the Championship seem to hinge greatly on the fitness of 32 year old Josh Windass.

Hope he's able to start tomorrow but it sounds like they're trying to ease him back to full fitness still.
