A lot of people refuting the Partey accusation. Apparently he doesn't live on the street where the accused was arrested at his residence and he was in training yesterday. Hoping it wasn't someone in our squad.
Articles are saying the "unknown footballer" was arrested between 3-4am this morning, so attending training yesterday wouldn't rule anyone out.
Report only says he was arrested in North London. Could be from anyone of the London clubs. We will find out soon enough.
So apparently the crime was committed in the Mediterranean, but the victim waited till they returned to the UK to report it to authorities. If it happened outside of the UK and I don't even understand how they'd have jurisdiction to make an arrest. Obviously if a crime occurred I hope the person is brought to justice. Already seems tough to prove.
You can generally be arrested for a crime you allegedly committed in another jurisdiction. They can't prosecute you, but they can extradite you

The Sun & Sky Sports are both saying that the suspect is still in custody. If true and Wheatley is correct that may rule out all possible Arsenal players.

He's an 8/8.5. if we have to replace Partey we will need a #6. Honestly think this could increase our chances of keeping Xhaka (vet influence) and not getting Tielemans.
Sergej Milinkovi-Savi from Lazio would be my shot, but we probably can't afford that.

SMS is more of an 8/8.5 as well. He would be a better option than Tielemans if the plan is to switch back to a 4-2-3-1 (Xhaka & someone knew at the base) but I don't think he is a fit as our 4-3-3 #6. On the current roster Sambi or El Neny are the best options. El Neny is not good enough to be the everyday start. Sambi isn't quite ready and many think he would be much better in the CM spot.
Hear me out, play White as the #6 and Saliba as the starting RCB.
That's a possibility. I know White has played some DM before. There were several people around the message boards and reddit suggesting we try him last season when Partey was injured or in terrible form but Arteta never tried it. Wonder if that is something he would consider. Potentially makes even more sense if we move to dual inverted FBs.
Zinchenko maybe? He's been linked to us already and plays LB and in the midfield. It's a stretch, but maybe he could flourish at DM?

When I have watched Zinchenko in CM (1 game plus some highlights), he looks like more of a Xhaka style #8. Think he could also work as an inverted LB if Martinez falls through.
de Jong would be very interesting. Last I saw ManU had offered 60-65m euro with 15-20m in add-ons. Biggest obstacle would be salary. I think he is currently on something like 350-400k euro per week.
