It's still just a little too easy for defenders to make Martinelli dribble himself into the end line

And I still think giving Tierney a run out to play some overlapping stuff with Martinelli would help

Agreed, but we don't have a Jesus right now.

He has come into the middle a lot with Trossard, and that's helped. Obviously worked out last match.

That said, none of it changes the fact that when Martinelli does find himself with the ball out wide, that he gets run into the end line a whole lot because he's isolated and struggles to figure out what to do about it



Unlucky to be offsides right there, though

Liking Martinelli playing at ST (Trossard started there but has played more on the left). His ability to comfortably move across the entire line and involve himself in the play no matter which side the ball is on is a huge plus for me.
