Mexican player got some spikes to his shin. The fouling Salvadoran also did a simultaneous karate chop to Mexican's throat. Yellow card.

Mexico wins in the lamest ways. It's not even an ugly win, just lame and trashy. I'm know the Mexican fans are so happy for the win, but doesn't it suck on some level to know your team wins by the lowest common denominator?!

Lucky win for MX? Sure. But you make your own luck. With all the yellows on their end, they looked anxious to win this game after all the heat of T&T. ES looked like they were experimenting since they had the luxury of securing the next round early.

Entertaining game, and ES had their chances to score.

I'm sure everything "going to plan" involves Mexico playing a semi in Houston and the USA in Austin, but I cant imagine that CONCACAF would want to end up with a Honduras/USA semi in Austin and a Qatar/Canada one in Houston. I just wonder how early they have to make that decision.

I seem to recall Arena bringing in "A" team players after the Gold Cup group play in 2017 or whatever year that was. Isn't that always they case where you can change your lineup after group?
