Maybe that's punishment for publicly saying he's frustrated. I would give my player and absolute earful about that.

Pulisic will outlast Lampard, IMO. I am not particularly impressed. I think he is very lucky that the set of young fan favorites have been the ones in the headlines so far, eventually the story will turn to why the team is giving up so many goals.

Or Pulisic is just not good enough.

If you aren't getting playing time, the last thing you do is complain about it in public. He should know that.

I could see Pulisic outlasting him but I don't think he's on a short rope at all. He's going to get time due to the transfer ban.

Once they can purchase players that defense will probably change dramatically.

I read an article that they have certain restrictions on the amount of homegrown players that must be on the roster and various other things. Lampard is foolish IF he is doing this strictly as a punishment to Pulisic. These are professionals, he was paid lots of money to come here and make a difference. He was asked how he felt about not playing and he said he was frustrated and would have to just keep working hard in training to prove himself. Lampard played the game, he should know this

I think the ridiculous part that makes Lampard look bad is that he isn't even playing Pulisic in the cup games. If you're trying to help your young player adjust to a new league, the EFL Cup match last week would have been perfect to help the player get some confidence and start to perform. This looks like he is simply freezing the player out.

Pretty sure Pulisic started against Grimsby Town.

Whether Lampard is justified or not is open for debate. What's undeniably true is that the US' best player has no clear path to regular football for the foreseeable future. I think it's safe to say that Pulisic won't get a start in a meaningful game for quite a long time unless there is an injury or three.

I bet Pulisic starts in a game withing the next 4 in the league.

well, as i mentioned above, the word is Lampard doesn't think he trains hard enough.

worst thing about Chelsea is that they don't sell a lot of players. they just loan them out. there's a very good chance this Chelsea move is a long term hindrance to his career.
