The vast majority of those shots were from 25+ yards out and not very threatening. I don't think Brazil dominated much of the game at all. They tried to force it on the ground through the center and didn't really have success until they started working it wide the last 25 or so minutes.

I think if I'm starting a team my first pick is De Bruyne

Belgium counts on their counterattack...and it was better than Brazil's attack today.
That type of strategy also depends on a better than great goalie as he's gonna have A LOT of shots to defend. He should be the player of the match for that performance.

Was a great game! Brazil had their chances in the second half. I thought #3 for Brazil played a fantastic game against Belgium's toughest player. There were great opportunities in the second half for Brazil but they couldn't capitalize. Belgium's keeper played a great game. Congrats to Belgium, tough game and I thought a very fair game.

My two teams are out (USA and Brasil), but I am very happy with the game and this WC.

So...I don't care now. I hope the winner of the France v Belgium game wins the Cup. Should be a fantastic game.

He didn't flop much today, but was probably "penalized" for his previous preposterous flops.
There were at least a couple of fouls on him that weren't called.

I counted at least 3 situations where the Brazil striker had a good, open look at the goal and missed. Brazil dominated the 2nd half.
It was an incredible game.

I think he was going to get it and he knew it. They got the ball restarted so fast the ref missed his chance.

England has not given up more than 1 goal to anyone. Including Belgium.

Belgium gave up 2 to Japan and 2 to Tunisia and pretty lucky it wasn't 2 to Brazil today.

Not saying England wins but I don't see a blowout either way.

2 teams from the same group meeting in the final is not unheard of it happened in 1954 (W. Germany and Hungary) and 1962 (Brazil and Czech).

I'd love to see that matchup personally.

I'm rooting for England, but I think whoever wins France-Belgium is going to smoke anyone else.

Speak for yourself! Last fall my house flooded, and then the US failed to qualify for the World Cup. I might have been more gutted by the latter. As I said at the time, next summer (now) my house will be fixed, but the US won't be in a men's World Cup until 2022 at the soonest.

I did not, however, cry in either instance.
