Talk about hot & cold. Chief wins have been at #16 Florida State and vs. #30 NC State. But you needn't go any further than that NC State matchup to see the inconsistency of this team. They had the impressive 4-0 win over NC State, but finished the season with a 1-4 Loss against the very same team.
Still, they took #2 and #3 to the brink and play in the sport's best conference. And that 5-0 cakewalk in the first round looks pretty impressive against A&M's 1-0 final.
And interestingly enough, they seem to have performed much better on the road this season. Also, the Irish have 3 championships (1995, 2004, 2010) and 12 College Cup appearances.
So, yeah, our ladies have their work cut out for them.
