This is a really good ND squad. Its 10-6-4 record might not look super impressive, but it includes tieing UNC 1-1 at Chapel Hill and losing by 1 goal to South Carolina in double overtime. Our ladies need to bring their A game tonight and the rest of the way out. But I'm confident they will, as always, Find. A. Way.!!

They seem to score a lot and allow a lot of scores, so I doubt either team will shut the other out. If our defense can stay solid and hold them to 1 goal and our offense/midfield is firing on all cylinders from the opening kick (instead of just on the last quarter of the game) then we can get out of here with the win.

It's going to be a very tough game. A&M better come with its A-game from the opening kick.

Talk about hot & cold. Chief wins have been at #16 Florida State and vs. #30 NC State. But you needn't go any further than that NC State matchup to see the inconsistency of this team. They had the impressive 4-0 win over NC State, but finished the season with a 1-4 Loss against the very same team.

Still, they took #2 and #3 to the brink and play in the sport's best conference. And that 5-0 cakewalk in the first round looks pretty impressive against A&M's 1-0 final.

And interestingly enough, they seem to have performed much better on the road this season. Also, the Irish have 3 championships (1995, 2004, 2010) and 12 College Cup appearances.

So, yeah, our ladies have their work cut out for them.

Notre Dame has outscored opponents 42-24 on the season (A&M is 40-15).

Of ND's opponents' goals, only 4 have come in the 1st half, while 18 have come in the 2nd half.
Also, they haven't won any OT games this season.

Sounds like the makings for an last minute Aggie Special.

ND has clearly been up and down, but games cannot end in a draw in the postseason. They have as mich potential as any of the 4 teams here this weekend. Just looking at stats records, and rankings it is interesting usc gets baylor and we get ND. On paper baylor < ND which shold put thwm against the better seed. Hopefully we see them sunday.

I just hope we are the "UP" team today.
