I feel like we are trying to build the ball up from the back and connect passes, but it seems like we are lacking movement off the ball after the first connection. A lot of times its going in to someone and he has nowhere to go with it.
It seemed like after the away game at Mexico they had found themselves. Past few games are concerning for sure...OregonAggie said:

I agree. I was expecting that team to show up these past 2 games and they haven't.
We're defending so much today that we don't have numbers in attack. Unfortunately I'm not sure we have he guys in the back that will give our mids confidence to go up.
Nagbe has been really unaffective and we flat out need more from him.

Zusi may have looked ok on TV but in person he has awful. He was out of position constantly.
Zusi, Cameron, and Omar are all awful. What the hell do we do?

Pulisic has less support than Donovan and they are/were both expected to carry the US through qualifying. Nothing happens unless Christian is on the ball which is a huge issuePatAg said:

It's more than FJo. I think Arena set this up like he did the last set of Matchdays. He's running basically split squads.

Maybe some but he constantly drifted central. If your outside back drifts in to covet a striker your outside mid can nevet atrack.

I don't think Dempsey fits well into our lineup/style of play as a starter. He hasn't linked well with Pulisic, or much of anyone. Today, Dempsey with no real understanding with Morris or Pulisic so far from what I can see. I would imagine he is coming off soon. I would consider subbing in an outside mid and bumping pulisic up into a withdrawn forward centrally.
I had to back that up to make sure and sure enough Bradley got the ref and I think it was on purpose.

its not bad to try it once in a while to keep their defense and honest and test the backline with Morris on them.
