Again, bedoya takes 1 touch too many and doesnt whip the ball in. I like the guys game, but he has had a poor one today, imo

One of these days I'll stop being surprised by how much Stu Holden sounds like a woman.

My issue with Zardes appears to be the same usual so far. He has good to great talent offensively, but no real ability to consistently hit a good pass/cross in from out wide. Bedoya also generally suffers from this issue.
It's part of what I liked about Arena givine Arriola and Rowe a chance, because they are true to the position outside.

We get dispossessed way too often.

Well regardless, the crowd appeared to be overwhelmingly USA.

Zusi was bad. Repeatedly left too much space allowing shots or through balls. I guess he is worried that he can get taken 1v 1. He also did not play fast enough in the offensive half. The entire back line that started today may not make the World Cup roster based on their shaky performance. In the midfield Acosta played great against Ghana but had too many mistakes offensively today. I still have high hopes for him and I like the way he defends and tries hard. Corona seemed invisible and perhaps this is a problem with formation or maybe try him at holding mid or at least give him second legit forward to work with. Overall too many easy giveaways and shaky back line. Just my opinions.

This tournament is kind of meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Arena decided to let the big guys rest up and sit out this tourney and see what the fringe B-team guys can do.

I was very impressed with Rowe's play. He had the assist and also at least two very strong shots on target. Showed great skill in keeping the ball away from defenders.

He did get beat in the leadup to the goal, but he is one of the new players that really has a soccer brain.
