We have another one that we planned on replacing with this one... I absolutely love it. I told my wife to buy a Honda when she was shopping and I'm glad she didn't!

Mind sharing what was messed up on the order?

Wife wanted nightfall. I think it's silly but that's what she wants.

What's on the difference in this one and the Nightfall?

Those are the two to get.

SX with Prestige package has all the bells and whistles... nightfall is just some trim blacked out.

haha I didn't catch this at first... I'd say it's a minimal one and well deserved after waiting for 9 months, and now having to wait 9 more.

And who said the dealer is giving me jack sht other than msrp and some made up extras I don't have the choice to decline?

After waiting 9 months to get it, we were told it arrived early and we only have 48 hours to pick it up 3 hours away during the middle of the week... and no they didn't care that we have little kids, 2 jobs, and the wife is in school with zero time to do this.... they were going to sell it someone else if we couldn't get there in time.

That is fine. I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I was actually wondering if you figured you could make a bit more on the used market due to the demand. Since I anticipate being in the market in about a year or so, I was just interested in your experience.

Yes, you can get more on the used market for this car. They are listed around 60ish right now on auto trader. I had my ad on auto trader up for only a few hours before someone said they would buy it... I'm giving it a day or two more on here though cause I'd rather deal with an Ag. This is also my only experience ever selling a vehicle, so it will probably require some patience on the buyer's behalf.

The dealerships are all the same. You get the typical car sales guy that swears all they care about is customer service (and some are better than others), but then they throw you into the finance office where they all pressure cook you.

The best thing you can do is just go order one and wait. You can find a couple dealers that will only tack on around 1-2k of extras. If you need any pointers on this, DM me and I'll be happy to discuss.

See if the dealership will do an "In/out" for you so that you can show this unit as a trade in on the new unit and therefore only pay minimal sales taxes on the new unit.

They won't give you close to what you paid in trade? With the sales tax credit on trade seems like they could make something work for you.

Updated to show sale pending. If it doesn't work out I'll update again.

Theses Tellurides are NICE. I test drove one ~2 years ago when they were first popping up. Drove an Explorer and Highlander and this was far and away better than both models. Ultimately ended up getting a Bronco - but was on the fence hard about that Nightfall trim.

How do you like the Bronco? I'm considering one of those once the time comes.

I'm babying it for the time being. Received ~4/25 - only about 1400 miles on it so far. 4DR Badlands. Comfortable ride - sometimes noisy with the sound on the highway. I typically pull the front roof panels off. Fun as hell to drive. My biggest complaint is that the seats are ONLY heated, not ventilated. I could go aftermarket - but that's a good hunk of $$$

Oh yeah I know what you mean… the Telluride is the first ventilated seat I've seen and it's pretty wonderful lol.

Eh, not necessarily.

My wife really liked these when we shopped for her replacement in December of 2020. Except they were already back ordered then before Covid shortages were even a thing. Dealership told us it would take $10k over MSRP to order one that would be at least 6 months.

After I stopped laughing, we bought a different make and model with more features for $20K less and my wife couldn't be happier.

Has Kia quality improved any? Wife had a sorento that left her stranded...more than once. It was covered under their warranty but I didn't like the idea of my family being in an unreliable vehicle.

their failure rate is probably still greater than 0% if that's what you're asking

surprised to see Honda (and Nissan/Infiniti) so high on that list.

Also surprised to see Buick so low.

That's be because that chart has nothing to do with actual statistics.
