In the Fall of '66, I was a fish in the FTAB. We formed up at 10:30pm and led the Corps to Henderson Hall, the jock dorm then, for an impromtu yell practice. It was the night before the team left for Lubbock. The team was 0-4 and a steady rain was falling. The players were stunned that we would come in the rain to support a winless team. Our fiery LB, Billy Hobbs, gave us an emotional thank you.
And you know what, Edd Hargett led us to victory over Texas Tech and we never lost another game that season. We beat Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.
We can beat TT if we show up with passion, discipline and anger starting with the kickoff.
