Thanks for posting that 2007. I see that the only thing that has remained unchanged is 5 fish to a wall. Chicks, tan shorts, water bottles. Wow times sure do change.

yeah the gay ass fow uniform started my fish year. Luckily there still are wag free outfits around the quad.

Apparently the fish are there, but there not "fish" yet so to say. Just talked to a head, apparently they dont crack the whip till sunday....

I think its going to be fun for them, considering the rest of the corps shows up the next day

So you're saying it's possible to "Massengill" out before you actually start FOW for real? What do they do for the extra 4-5 days? Drink Water and re-lace their tennis shoes?

I used to think like that ...... then I grew up. Scattering the Wags into most of the outfits was pure genius. Now the attitude (for most non-inbred rednecks) is "She may be a Wag, but she's our Wag. Don't mess with her." Times change, you'd best change with them or it will be a long, dull life.

I got the idea from all the literature they sent home with B-1 83 Daughter and all the times the Bulls mentioned it, they must have had some problems in recent years with dehydration. A guy I work with told me his grandaughter ended up in the hospital at the end of FOW due to heat stress/dehydration, and never went back to school that semester. Not good. I'd rather them teach these kids early and pamper them a little, then risk something like that.

Well, when we were fish, they forced us to fill up our biggest cup, hold it out full, then down it and turn it upside down in the hall when we were done. No telling how many times we did that crap. Thought I was going to blow up with all that damn water in me.

Another thing I noticed in those pictures was that the bunks are seperated, no more bunk beds. What is the reasoning behind that? Why not have them be bunk beds anymore? Oh and they have the foam rolls on the edges of the bed...hahahah, you hit that thing once, you won't be doing it again.

Almost forgot, those fish have tons of crap in their holes! When we showed up, they told us you could have whatever fit in your footlocker, pillow and some non-reg clothes.

When did they redo the drill field? It looks almost like a real football field now, instead of a vacant lot with ankle deep holes in it.

No actually we didn't. I was the second biggest fatbody in B-Co at 6'2", 180 lbs. The biggest fatbody was probably 5'10", 170 lbs. Look at the gut on some of those fish. (FWIW - I'm comparing my 18 y/o sedentary self to them, not my 36 y/o sedentary self)

As far as dehydration. That used to fall under the personal responsibility category. Since I grew up in Saudi Arabia I used to laugh (inside, not out loud obviously) when people would pass out when we were drilling in 105 - 106 degree weather during FOW. Heat tolerance is one area where I had an edge on my buddies and the p-heads.

I was refering to the hair and mode of dress Hollywood. I had 3 buds who were chubby to downright fat. Strangely enough, all of them made it through 4 years, and B-1 was well known for its running back then. At 5'6 and 130# (at that time) I could run circles around most of the upperclassmen.

JM had to weigh more than 170lbs until I got a hold of him. I remember when I found the Froot Loops he tried to stash behind his desk LOL. That stunned “I’m really screwed now” look was priceless. Ya’ll were a pretty fun bunch minus that red headed banshee that could sink a thousand ships.

As for the water bottles, we had a guppy gulp session 3 times a day in FOW and everyday before drill. Kind of like the scenes in Jarhead when they all chug down water, only in a Big Gulp cup. Not so affectionately named after a fish buddy nick named guppy that coincidentally was flushed by his buddies mid semester. Anyway, falling out due to heat is for AC wussies who play video games all damn day, but I guess we all can’t benefit from growing up on a South Texas farm LOL.

I'm with ya B-1. We had a guy who looked like a cross between Carlos Santana and Carlos Cavazo as one of our fish buddies. The pictures of him getting his haircut were great.

StreetFighter - what's funny is that JM is probably 215 now whereas the biggest fatbody in our class now is not me, but DA. He's probably 5'8" and 240 - 250. He was a big time soccer player in HS and when he reported for FOW, he weighed in at 130 lbs. He's almost doubled in size.

Welcome to the new Corps. Comadant had that idea last year that everyone should have lofts. Even got staybrite brass for the fish last year; luckily that didn't last. I don't know what the policy is on how much **** you can show up with now but for my FOW sun it was a footlocker and a computer.

Damn, that's what hanging out with a bunch of girls at Hooters will do to ya. Tell David to lay off the fried wings...he can still check out the girls while eating a salad LOL!
