Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I get it...people are being sacaaaaaaaaastic saying it was Buckley instead of Coryatt, when all along they were just playing. Apparently no one ever really thought Buckley did it, and someone just decided to make it all up in the name of sarcastic fun. LOL! I wanna play...let's do another one: hey, how about that great catch and run that DANTE HALL made through the Kansas State defense to win the '98 Big 12 Championship game. Wasn't that something? Gag.

orag80, we're not trying to bust on you, just set you straight. You very well may have been there that night, but there was also another one of our esteemed friends there. I don't really think that you want to argue with this guy:

quote:
I know I'm in the vast majority here folks, but I was at that game & I'm pretty sure it was Buckley. I think Coryatt graduated in '90.

quote:
Look jerkoffs, I don't know why some of you have to resort to showing your age by calling me things like "ass clown". Say & claim what you will, but, like I said, I was at that game & I know what I know. Buckley made the hit. Mark it down.

quote:
Well, I'm back you dillweeds. To much of your despair, my computer will not download the video clip that you claim shows Coryatt, so I'll just have to trust my memory on this one. Look, I remember ALOT of awesome plays from A&M games from about '84 to present & alot of those DID involve Coryatt, like the safety against Casey Weldon in the Cotton Bowl, his 20 tackle (14 unassisted) performance against Arkansas which was, I might add, the week after BUCKLEY made the hit on MacPherson in Fort Freakin' Worth!!!

quote:
Fran da Man,

I haven't changed my username to anything. I use my CU@Kyle username w/ pride because I don't have anything to be embarrassed or ashamed about. Again, I know what I know and 188 or 8,888 responses won't change my mind, so ya'll had better cool it. Got it?

Buckley's "HIT" is the single best play in Wrecking Crew history.

I was there and witnessed it first hand, man Buckley could lay the wood.

Everybody knows that was Leeland McElroy who won the Big XII championship game in '98.

Aaron Glenn is getting pretty pissed off that no one gives him proper credit for 'The Hit.'

I was there, man. I was there...

Wow, am I confused now. All this discussion about Buckley making "the hit"...Coryatt making "the hit."

I have always been told it was Chuck Norris that made "the hit."

Can somebody clear this up?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people on this board will come on here and legitimately argue this point over and over while the rest continue to get a laugh out of it....

my prediction....Orag and footinmouth will be joining in the "Buckley made "The Hit"" posts next time it happens.

I just wonder if some day, many years from now, if there will be legitimate confusion as to who made "The Hit."

this is hilarious!!! orag80, what is going on here is that you have no history reading this board. The subject that you discuss here is very esoteric. We all good and well know it was Coryatt that made "the hit" case closed. What happened was that some rookie came on here some day and asked about footage of the hit where "buckley" laid into some guy and he was totally serious. What ensued is stuff that makes Texags history and legend. Since then the hit and Buckley have been synonymous with Aggie and Texags lore. We all know about the hit and know that Coryatt made it. I think that the thread about this is too old to pull up on archives.

Just know we all know who it was but you are on the arse and of a running joke here at this site and you don't know about it. You post the truth but have no knowledge of what we speak of. I am sorry you got caught up in this and I understand your wrath, but know what you are getting into before you post on here. We all frequent this site and are keenly aware of the famous posts.

Does that clarify it for you?

Actually I was at that game and it was #9, Dat Nguyen, that made the hit. I remember it well as he lowered the boom that knocked Emmit Smith out of the game.

Say whatever you want about that bum -

The Fish Pond Maintainer is the real power broker.
WestTxAg06
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Don't discount the fact that Fish Pond Maintainer shares the power with the one and only Paul Durbin, who ironically was also the producer of the ABC telecast the night of Buckley's smackdown of that poor preppy football player.
