Does anyone know how old an infant/child has to be to require a ticket to a game? I assume an infant (less than 6 months) could get into a game without a ticket. He doesn't know all of the yells yet.

All humans entering Kyle, no matter what age, require a ticket.

Do you really need to take the infant to the game?

PS- To answer the question, yes, they need a ticket.

Just look at the back of your ticket.

Yes, every human being entering must have a ticket.

You have to have a ticket. We brought our 3 month old last year to the Tech game. He did pretty good.

patriarch...seriously find a babysitter...I was going to take my daughter back to the in-law's house myself (it would have killed me but it would have been the right thing to do) before taking our 21 m/o when our babysitter fell through for the OSU game...

I've taken my children to games. It boggles my mind that an infant needs a ticket; but, yes, that is the rule.

With all the jiggling and attantion and feeding and paraphernalia required to keep an infant happy, and with the seats as narrow as they already are... A ticket is the least one can do to ease the discomfort of the child, the parent, and the people around them...
Good luck...
The days of the horseshoe and "room" for kids is - unfortunately - gone forever...
Sit in the MSC and watch it on the tube in an easy chair with toilets nearby is an even better way to do it... and still get to soak up a lot of Aggie Atmosphere...
Wait until you have several in tow...

Molly can go to the game when she can stay for the whole time and not spend the whole game going back and forth to the concession stand...(yes I'm talking about the travelling circus in the row in front of use where mom spends the whole game walking up and down the steps while dad sits there constantly pulling money out of his pocket)

Actually, I may try and add up their concession spending this weekend, add it to the seat donation and prices and see what he is shelling out for a game...

The best part about having a tailgate right next to Kyle Field is the ability to leave the little kids behind. Not to mention the fact that we can come get a kid or two at halftime to watch the FTAB (while the adults take a break).

I agree with almost everyone's advice about leaving the young kids at home. We have several and I've only taken the ones that 7 or older. But, some old friends have invited us to this weekend's game and we have a nursing infant which we can't leave at home. We're not sure if we are going, but I wanted to make sure I understood how many tickets we needed if we do go.

Thanks for all the responses.

If you dress your baby up like a seeing eye dog, I think you can get in without a ticket.

I will say it's amazing that an infant would need a ticket. I guess that allows you to take a carrier to sit them down at their "seat."

An infant can easily be concealed in most back packs...

But if you buy the baby a ticket, they get to bring in their own gallon jug of water.

Tape the baby to your body, and tell they it's a wierd type of abnormal growth you never got removed.

If you are pregnat you only need one so if the kid can fit under your shirt still that might work.

I hear that next year there will even be a ticket required for a woman to bring a zygote into the game!

Zygotes should have to pay double!

I'm assuming midgets also pay full price for a ticket. Well kids and midgets are basically the same size, therefore kids should have to have a ticket. See, it just takes a little logic to solve these problems.

If a midget dresses up like a seeing eye dog, can he get in free?

If she dresses her infant as a collie can she get in free?

A babysitter is cheaper unless we go to double overtime.

Just scalp a single for $5 from someone who has an extra in the Zone or on the track or some other location with little value. Then use that as the ticket for the kid.

What a plan. Hopefully that extra person and the baby bag and toys and other stuff don't end up in my row where the seats are already narrow just because they got in with a ticket from another section and did not sit there. That's why I like the policy. It's just a courtsey to those already squeezed in around you.

No, I meant the kid should then use that seat so the parents can just enjoy the game on their own.

You don't need a ticket, just a backpack with soundproofing till you get past the gate.

From the 12th Man Foundation web site:

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my infant child, even though he/she will not occupy a seat?
Yes. It is Texas A & M’s policy that everyone must have a ticket to enter the stadium regardless of age. This policy is consistent with all other Big 12 state schools.

Ticket Required!!!

I still don't understand those parents that bring infants or small toddlers to the game. It can get hot, they don't get anything out of it and you just reduce the amount of enjoyment others around you get at the game.

I have a son that I really want to bring to the games, but I will not start until he is at least 4 years old. At this point he will be able to at least show an interest in what is going on and I won't have to baby sit him every second, change diapers, etc.

Obviously those that are bringing children younger than that really don't watch the entire game. If they did, they would be very frustrated when bringing an infant. Do you and us all a favor, get a baby sitter or stay at home and watch it on TV.

Sounds like the MSC is the best option for you.

As a side note, I see the little red faces of the babies that people bring to the games (we have armchair seats so space is LESS of an issue), and wonder where their parent's brains are. While temperature isn't as much of an issue as it has been, you are out in the sun for 4 hours. Many of these people don't even bring good hats or sun protection for the kid. The poor kids half roast and get totally wiped out, not to mention the slightly older ones (toddlers) who have a hhalf second attention span and are bored mindless by the second quarter. I have a 2 year old and our out of town friends have a 3 year old. One day (in 4-5 years) we'll all go together and have a great time. In the meantime, if we can't find a sitter, one of us stays home.
