i actually started the post because i remember brian gamble making the comment when he was playing and a friend of mine over here was slow believing me... i have been to tech many times and haven't seen it myself personally, but i am not on the field. i know they like to shove goalposts into people and have seen the tortillas.

i heard batteries. jack bottles, i wouldn't doubt it.

I am a former BQ and can testify to the batteries in 2001 (didn't see any in 2003... perhaps they were deterred by the cops in riot gear).

I didn't see anything thrown in 2003 (other than tortillas), but I did have a racial slur yelled at one of my female friends, causing her to cry and basically ruining her day. Classy techies.

In 2003 they seemed to take a step back on the throwing things and devoted their efforts to bumping up the insults and verbal abuse. My favorite was the poster that had some extremely vulgar statement (I couldn't give it back to you word for word because I don't remember it verbatim, but I do know that many of the words would show up as *****) and a big drawing of a pen*s on it. I'll take that over having batteries thrown at me any day.

I haven't seen it and I have been going to games in Lubbock since the early 80's. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I have, however, heard from Aggie fans, Tech fans and horn fans about the CU fans throwing batteries and other stuff.

They scratched up and threw crap at their equipment truck, etc. Vandalized it. Scratched it up. I think they scratched something over the Horn symbols.

I am sure some Texas people on here will be able to describe it better, as I just shook my head and kept watching the game. Didn't quite memorize everything that happened to their stuff.

I went to Tech in '03. 4 hours before the game, my friends and I had a wreck. My face slammed into the vanity mirror of the car. My forehead and nose were bleeding quite heavily. The car was smashed, and a I had a bunch Tech students drive by telling me to go to Hell and to f****** die.
