well, maybe you could help me out...i listen to the ticket, but when i went through austin, i heard their espn radio affiliate use the term 'p1' rather extensively...copying the ticket or using a widely-known radio term?

Hince-

A couple of their on-air guys used to be affiliated with either the Ticket, or other Dallas radio stations.....so there is a lot of copy-cat stuff I recognize too.

I wish they could be like the ticket and copy the entertainment value.....cause currently, they blow.

ESPN Austin is a horrible ripoff of the Ticket. They don't talk sports at all in the afternoon, but they have bad schtick. They are the definition of "Fake Ticket".

Still, it's has better moments than 1300.

The station they accuse of stealling their terminology is in Denver. 950 the Fan, they have Chad Andrus as a sometimes used sidekick for the morning show. He used to work with the Ticket about 7-8 years ago and then left to go work with Rocco Pendola in Vegas.

He steals ticket schtick all the time. He calls the Edmonton Oilers Crude and started calling people P1's. He is ripping them off and the idiots here think he is original.

ESPN radio does Homercall as well. They even call it Homercall!!

I remember listening to The Ticket when they referred to cell phones as the Bat Phone. I still love listening to BaD radio and The Hardline when I visit Dallas.
