Baylor fans after the game...

I realize that they just had a huge win and they were all excited, but some of them seemed more like tech or t.u. fans after the game. We saw a variety of "celebrations" as we stood in the stands waiting for the "12th Man" and yell practice. One man turned around and attempted to "talk with his butt" in an Ace Ventura fashion. Some stood behind our yell leaders and mocked them as they led the Aggies. Others just ran up to our stands laughing, pointing, shooting the bird and making other gestures. Then there were the many who stopped and took a picture of us...

Out of curiosity, did anybody take pictures of the baylor fans making fools of themselves?

I was wondering what the after game antics were from them. Scaring hearing them mentioned in the same breath as tech fan.

You should take a trip to Fayetteville or Little Rock sometime.

we didn't hear a single bad word hurled our way all the way out of the stadium and to our car.

the baylor fans were terrible... you'd think a private christian school would have some class... no freaking way! we got cussed at, the bird, etc. constant chants of "aggies suck" behind us the entire second half.

they're pathetic.

At first I was shocked that we lost but in I can understand Baylor taking down the goal post. I did see one fan run up through the Aggie Band and I'm kinda surprise that guy is still breathing today but yes it was crazy every where you look. I do have to give the Baylor student body some props even though it pains me to say this but at least they did not shove the post into the Aggie Band or any of the Aggie fans like Tech did in 2001. By the way where did the goal post ended up?

Saturday was crazy. Red Sox win World Series days before, all Florida schools lost I think, and Baylor defeats us for the 1st time since 1985.

But hey, the sun came up the next day.

Carry on and BTHO OU!!!!

To be honest, we did not hear one bad thing after the game from the Baylor fans as we were walking to our cars.............I don't think that they were bad or good...........IMHO, they were just celebrating a very big win and letting out a lot of frustration on the way.

I didn't hear anything negative either. I had 2 kids with me and thought we may get some words thrown our way that I didn't want the kids to hear. We passed a ton of Baylor kids and never had any problems.

come on....they haven't beaten us since '85. As long as they didn't act like tech they are well above the bar.

didnt have any problems in the stands or in the parking lot untill the Baylor students trotting the goal post down the streets crossed our path...then it was the typical.."Aggies Suck"..."Go Home..Aggies" stuff..

Last I heard, they were taking the goal post to the Brazos. Not sure if they made it. Kind of a haul from Floyd Casey.

This is directed only at the original poster:

This isn't really meant to be a harshly-worded knock against your school, but A&M fans are the ones who the majority of the country (at least people aware of your "traditions" ) see as ridiculous.

I don't think anybody outside of A&M fans who were at the game on Saturday would think a negative thought about Baylor fans. Imagine what you all will act like if you lose your next 10 to Texas or OU and then win the 11th. I wouldn't want to be a visiting fan during that.

*edit to add since I can't reply again for 24 hours* I DO NOT ATTEND BAYLOR. And my above analogy of you winning after 10 or 11 losses is actually giving you more slack...if it had been 19 or 20 like it had for Baylor, I would be even more scared of how ridiculous your fans would be acting after the game.

Just a small mention at Church the next day. The preacher's son goes to A&M, but the majority of the congregation was well behaved. Not bad for living in Waco.

I thought that the crowd at the game was well behaved. Considering it was their first meaningful victory in some time, I thought that they acted about right.

FIrst of all we would never step foot on our field. That will never happen.

THey took the field goal post to a saw and cut up into little pieces and gave them out to the students.

Well Prodigy, I would rather be known for our traditions than be known for nothing at all like Baylor. I am sure that really helps your school in recruiting, being completely unknown outside of Texas. Our "weird" traditions haven't seemed to hurt us at all.

Besides, I could honestly care less about how people perceive my schools traditions when we win the Big 12...again. Keep remembering that game last Sunday. It will be the last time that happens for another 20 years.

First of all, the majority of the country who know our traditions, admire our fans and the class we have shown them. Everyone dislikes "Baylor Fan" because he is an @sshole, and especially if he wins, because they so seldom do win. Your analogy about losing the next 10 to OU or tu and then win the 11th is waaay off. You mean lose 19 then win the 20th. Congrats on the win but you are still Baylor.

I saw exactly the same things and had tons of profanity and lewd gestures directed at me. I am old and was just trying to get to the car. Unfortunately we were parked near the Baylor Student section. We were in R and the bad stuff was right in front of us. These were faces filled with hatred not joy. The BIG majority were just in the middle of the field celebrating, but in total about 40 or 50 were threatening. I was afraid a fight would break out and I would be trapped in the middle of it. Luckily the Aggies had great restraint and did not respond. There was no stadium security in our vicinity.

Again--this was in front of R and T. I think most of the rest of the stadium even had security officers.

C'mon guys. This was their Super Bowl. It'll be 20 years before a new crop of idiot Baylor frat guys have anything to celebrate after a Big XII conference game.

Go easy on 'em.

The fans after the game werent too bad IMO. The one fan who set me off was the guy who kept tootin his horn as the FTAB was about to play halftime. At least the post game actions had the excuse of following a huge Baylor win, this guy was just being an ass for the hell of it. Fortunately it seemed that someone "kindly" asked him to stop and he obliged, at least til after the band.

The only person I saw get out of line was when I was walking back to the car and there was a drunk ag talking sh** to baylor fans. luckily, one of his friends was telling him to stop making a jackass out of hisself and letting the bears know he was just drunk and upset.

Well, what exactly are you saying here? That you are well aware that Baylor fans show extremely poor sportsmanship to visiting schools, and A&M fans should have a reason to have negative thoughts about Baylor.

Thats what I got out of it.

We may yell a little louder. Not sure what you'd be worried about. At A&M visiting fans are treated far better than they are treated at many other places. Yes there are always a few bad apples, but in general, the vast majority of Aggie fans are not going to be running around taunting people, throwing things, pulling down goalposts, yelling obscenities, etc.

I was in RR on row 59 at the game. As I stood there in awe of what I had just witnessed, I wondered where the security was. The Baylor students, really the Baylor Freshmen, were out on the field having a good old time. It was just a few 40-50 students who were being the typical Baylor *******s that I grew up with in Waco. Age however is not a limiting factor as I have seen 50 - 60 yr old alums making a$$es of themselves. We had one sitting in front of us who probably wanted to start something. I had no problems with anyone outside of the stadium.

I know this is what we expect, but I give lots of credit to the Aggie band for the class they showed throughout the whole time being taunted, mocked, and everything else after the game.

The wife and I were sitting in the non-jumbotron endzone (also the launching point for field goal fireworks). We sat right next to the tunnel that the Baylor team ran out of and into, also had the Baylor line stop right in front of us before the game.

I have been to Baylor games where the good old line flicked me off in unison while screaming cuss words. I didn't see any of that all night. As we were leaving students were running down the aisle to get to the field bumping into us - all of them apologized and excused themselves.

They weren't all bad.

When I first read this it sounded like a jab. But as I read the rest of the postings I realize they really don't know how to win. If I have the numbers right they haven't won a Big12 game in 3 years.

We've seen some difficult times but nothing like that.

Ok I now feel a little better.

Most of the baylor fans are as bad as tech, they just don't win enough to get the opportunity to act like it
