I bet they lose to ND this weekend.

And who has paper-tiger ND beaten? Almost every team ND has played has a losing record.

I don't trust Miami. If they don't have an ACC refs in a playoff game they will be out in the first game they play.

Where do they get their NIL $? I never thought of Miami as a high dollar alumni base.

It's a private university

So is Rice

LMAO. The Rice fans who do show up cheer when JFK's speech hits the introduction. I love Rice, but it pains me to say that the students and alumni don't really care about athletics.

The U actually has a fan base. This started in the 80s. There are a lot more Canes fans than Canes alums. It helps when one of the top money-making agents is your alum too: Drew Rosenhaus.

Some care, but not necessarily about Rice athletics. You just keep the rooting interests you had growing up and with the demise of the SWC and the death of Wayne Graham know they'll hardly ever conflict.

Check the name. My rooting interests are whoever I can beat the book with and find the best EV or CLV. My morning routine is watching A Numbers Game with Gill Alexander on VSiN. I'm not here to pick fights withe people still upset over the MOB performance from before I was even born (which my prom date told me is apparently the reason Rice's band isn't allowed in Kyle Field). I'm here to do what I do best: have a good time and talk sports. And to the words of Degeneration X, if you're not down with that, then I've got two words for you!

It took them a while for their coach to become competent. He lost to Jimbo at Kyle with some of the worst quarterback play imaginable for both teams. We had just lost to Appalachian State.

In his first year! His second year he beat Jimbo who was in his 6th year and had the number 1 over all class in its second year.
