Just hire one of the best TXHSFB coaches and spend all of our money on the best players instead of failed coaches buyouts. Have the engineering school build the football operations AI models to help with talent evaluation, salary cap, roster construction and player development. Make the coaching salaries 90% incentive based with contracts that give the school all the leverage to terminate.
Spending hundreds of millions of dollars to pay failed coaches not to work is insanity. We're in the new era, buy the best players and start with the best quaterbacks, no more loyalty to mediocrity, no more roster gaps just reload every year with the best players.
I been saying this for years and years...
you need a young, smart and driven HS coach eager to climb the rank. pay them just one millon $ and have a buy out if they get poached from outside.
put rest in NIL
Hire other young coach to serve as OC and DC with similar payout,
have them, eat sleep, sh*$ A&M football 24/7.
You need a motivated and driven coach to put all this together. It is not rocket science, It mostly will and luck.
buying an old multi million coach doesn't work. The reason it doesn't work is because there are too many variables and no way to control them.
There is more to this but it isn't just about hiring a young unproven coach. It is more about building a schema of coaching talent funnel that can sustain A&M from continuous funnel of HS coaching ranks
