Reed is absolutely gone after this year even if he wins out. Casuga is not the future of the program. Hart is not an SEC caliber 3rd string. Lose the "developing players" mindset and go buy wins. The coaching is not at all the problem.

Agree, and I'm a vocal Casuga skeptic. Kid may have had a leap in th last year. He's a true freshman and at this point he either is genuinely awful in practice, or the coaches aren't giving Casuga and the team a chance. Reed is a well established failure. At some point, you've got to see whether the young guys just happen to level up when the lights go on.Blonde Coffee Beans said:TAMC28 said:

He's one year removed from HS. He deserves a chance.
I don't think anybody believes those guys are the answer. But we've seen enough of Marcel to know he for sure ain't the answer. I don't blame the cesspool one bit. The goal is to win games and Marcel can't do it. When the known variable sucks, it's time to try the unknown.TAMC28 said:
Half of texags believes Casuga or Hart is the answer. Overwhelming majority runs to blame coaching. That's the baseline of it.

Do you seriously think Elko would not start our best chance to win? They see them practice everyday you don't just get better at the QB position leaving practice going to a game. Talked with guy on defensive staff at another SEC school and laughed at Hart's film.
Just what I thought. Its easier just to say you don't know. And as far as the film…..lmao. C'mon, do better.TAMC28 said:

He doesn't deserve anything. He's a highly paid employee. If his boss doesn't think he can contribute, he gets fired. Welcome to life.Blonde Coffee Beans said:TAMC28 said:

He came here because we were the highest bidder. You think he'd be here if he wasn't getting paid? You think he'd stay if someone offered more money? Come on. And this isn't a knock against him. He's doing what he should be. And we have to do the same. It's a business. This isn't 10 years ago.Blonde Coffee Beans said:texag101 said:He doesn't deserve anything. He's a highly paid employee. Dude come on. He committed to play here, was probly sold a dream by the coaches as most of these atheletes are. If he's been to all the practices meetings, and so forth... he deserves an opportunity. Reed clearly isn't the answer

Hart deserves a chance first. In what world are we jumping to QB3 before letting QB2 get a spin?TAMC28 said:

You can't be seriously downplaying everyday evaluation at practices. And yes SEC defensive staffs have said how much worse Hart is than Reed.
How would you know? We can only assume since Elko refuses to play him.TAMC28 said:
I'm saying he's not even talented enough to be an SEC 3. I agree Reed is awful, but the guys behind him are just as bad. In no world would a coach play a dude with lesser ability to win on the biggest stage.

Why does it seem so many people here know exactly how bad Hart and Casuga are?
Hart hasn't had virtually any playing time and Casuga hasn't played a single snap as far as I'm aware.

If he's so bad that he doesnt deserve a chance to play, then its just another knock on Elko and his failure in QBs.
My point is, we've yet to see him play outside the Maroon and White game and I wish we could

That said, my fear is Casuga and Hart are even less accurate in practice, but then my next thought is "that just can't be, can it?"
