Reed is absolutely gone after this year even if he wins out. Casuga is not the future of the program. Hart is not an SEC caliber 3rd string. Lose the "developing players" mindset and go buy wins. The coaching is not at all the problem.

Agreed, so many people focused on "development" and "loyalty" when we could just go buy the top G6 qb every year and have a good to great QB yearly. Case and point, look at what we did with the kicker position (albeit he came from Illinois)

Neither Hart or Casuga are Highly Paid athletes.

Their values are low because they have not played or showed higher value production yet.
Every College Football team has backup QB's on their roster in these below NIL ranges.

Hart's NIL deal is $366K
Casuga's NIL deal is around $150K

You can't be seriously downplaying everyday evaluation at practices. And yes SEC defensive staffs have said how much worse Hart is than Reed.
You have no idea how well they (or don't) practice. Zero. And if you say that is based on the fact they haven't played in a game yet is even more damaging. And no, other "SEC defensive staff" commenting on how good/bad they are also didn't happen. They also have zero intel on our practices. Sorry, but this is the stupid uninformative crap that needs to stop.

We are all uninformed, even you. The only one who isn't is Elko and he has already said he doesn't think one of the backups would do any better. So I guess we take him for his word. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the correct one.

Occam's razor strikes again. If it was only that simple. Yes, no one knows, so why manufacture a hypothetical scenario that is damaging to our young QBs. But I suspect reason, logic, and critical thinking isn't a requirement for The Cesspool…

We are informed though on the product that is being put up on Saturdays. Regardless of how great you do at practice (Practice All-American), if you cannot perform during the game it does not matter. I've updated some of Reed's stats I compiled after our first 4 games below - which now includes a game against lowly Arkansas - and see no improvement.

1,097 Yards - 71st
6 TDs - Tied 90th
6 INT - Tied 124th
55.3% Completion Percentage - 117th
108.43 Passing Efficiency - 123rd
45.6 QBR - 92nd
10.55 Yards Per Completion - 104th

And still our best QB on campus. The season is unrecoverable, let Reed take the bullets instead of throwing the next one out there to fail too.
