Rinse and repeat, everyone thought sumlins practices were tougher than Sherman's then fisher's practices were so much harder than Sumlin's and then Elko's so much more accountability than Fisher. The next coach will claim the same

So most of this board has supported the parabolic ascension of player entitlement through NIL, rap music blaring continuously during games and any other thing, big or small, that the players want......and you're now blaming this on Elko ?

I have some pretty distasteful memories of witnessing some of his tactics for keeping people off the field, but I don't want a perma-ban for mentioning them.

He was super hardcore about his job. Here's an article about him from 2013. He passed away in 2015.

Thank you so much!!!! I'm '88 so I assume we were there about the same time.

I wish he would've done a better job keeping the LSU student body off Kyle when they out scored us in '87. When they ran across the field, it single-handedly created in me a hatred for that school that has never dissipated.

Billy Pickerd was a fixture in the Aggie football program for a long time. Probably didn't make a great deal of money during the austerity years.

He is one of the many deserving ones that never lived to see us win a natty. I hope I can.
