When we recruit from HS and when we get portal players, do we check IQ like the NFL does with the Wonderlic test ?

An awful lot of "We've got to…" coming out of Elko these days. It's HIS job make that happen…when is he (and his stellar coordinators) going to make that happen? Next, we'll be hearing "our players just aren't getting it done."

I love it when the broadcast pans the booth and we see 3 people, two on the far end of the booth twiddling their fingers and the OC in the middle keying a walkie talkie telling someone on the same frequency what play we need to run. The only thing missing is a bingo cage with the plays on each of the balls to roll out and send to the coach on the field. It's definitely a high level operation.
I wondered about the walkie talkie. What keeps opposing teams from jumpin on the same frequency and listening?

Since many plays were shown on live TV as he was talking on the walkie talkie, LSU just needed someone who reads lips to get the play. He made no effort to hide what he was saying when a live camera was on him.
Actually, allowing a live broadcast camera in the coach's booth during the game was not great judgement.
