An awful lot of "We've got to…" coming out of Elko these days. It's HIS job make that happen…when is he (and his stellar coordinators) going to make that happen? Next, we'll be hearing "our players just aren't getting it done."

I'm opening up all staring roles for the best player at each position, starting with the QB
it started when elko failed to get a qb from the portal. the failure at the qb position is his and his alone. he is paid to be proactive and not reactive.TAMC28 said:
I truly don't believe Elko himself is a bad coach in any way. Could things be improved within the staff and on the field, 100%, but it starts at the QB position

Staring roles are now open.

Don't blame the QB for the failure of the HC…it isn't like it's just the QB failing…

The HC Isn't throwing balls 10' short of his targets or hitting cameramen in the head, with a touch pass, 10 yards out of the end zone.
LOL….WTF?!Alpha Texan said:
OP makes a fair point. Has Elko specifically asked Reed to make more accurate passes? Did he highlight the need to actually block the opposing rusher in last week's meetings? Has he, using simple and objective language, asked the safeties to cover the TE fades on short yardage play action?

But he's committed to the guy who is and won't entertain a change presumably because we don't have a competent backup on the roster…So, as a matter of fact I will blame the HC for the failure of the QB and anyone who doesn't is ignorant.

It would be nice to hear, "Here's the issue(s) and here's how we're going to fix them." Every time he says "it's on me," I want to throw up.

I love it when the broadcast pans the booth and we see 3 people, two on the far end of the booth twiddling their fingers and the OC in the middle keying a walkie talkie telling someone on the same frequency what play we need to run. The only thing missing is a bingo cage with the plays on each of the balls to roll out and send to the coach on the field. It's definitely a high level operation.
