I don't blame the OC, i blame Elko for putting him in that situation but for some reason ELKO gets a pass around here.

Horrible 4th siren play call. Even if you thought it would work, once they lined up.... should have had Reed ready for a rollout.
Of course, sucks to have an inaccurate QB so guess have to give him a little grace.
He has two games experience now. Maybe it's time for a raise

Those things are all true, and it is also true that Wiggins had a crap ton of receivers wide open today that Marcel just flat out dirt balled.
Game probably would have been completely different if Marcel had completed 70pct instead of 53 pct

What offense suits an inaccurate QB that can't read defenses and has panic attacks on the field?
Wiggins is not the issue. Our loyalty to Reed is the problem. Reed somehow is getting worse despite having every resource invested in him. Watching Chambliss at Ole Miss tonight is an elite QB. Reed can't even hit a wide open guy five yards in front of him. He's cooked mentally at this point.

I haven't had a problem with Wiggins. His playcalling isn't real exciting but we can't even execute basic **** so he's the least of our problems. He certainly hasn't lost us any games in my opinion.
Reed is mentally screwed now. That game was terrible on his end. He's not the only one to blame, but if you take away his interceptions and critical passes in the dirt to wide open receivers then it's probably a completely different game.

100% this.
Poor QB play, less than stellar OL play, average RB play, really bad DL play, average LB play, and below average DB play has led to quite the slow start and are all issues that are way more important than our play calling at this point.
It's straight up a leadership problem. Elko's pride in his OC selection / internal promotion, pride in sticking with a qb that has been inconsistent, and not building adequate depth (especially at the qb level). This is leadership 101 - get your ego out of the way - ask the cowboys how it's been working with Jerry Jones, same exact problem.

Wiggins is not the problem. For all we know we are ruining his career potential because our players can't execute the simplest of schemes.

Really makes no sense does it? We should not be letting guys cut teeth, we should have proven coaches.
People blaming the OC at this point are still just looking for reasons to give Reed a break.

Agreed.
There's a lot of other QB1's thru college ball that would be making Wiggins look like a wizard thru these first 3 games.
Don't even need to be a Patrick Mahomes type, just need to complete the routine passes that HAVE been there.

This. Someone needs to ask Elko if he ever considered bringing in a QB from portal. Of course he will say no and then the follow up question is why not? Reed hasn't improved at all and this is nothing new. Do you think you can win with this play? Elko and Reed need to be taken to the woodshed for this. This is big time ball. If they get their feelings hurt then go to SHSU or somewhere down the road.
