I don't think its way too soon to say we're going to struggle on offense this season. Game 2 should've been a big move towards what you want your offense to look like and we did not do that. For everyone breaking down the 'almost broke this play' plays, every team has those every week.

At the end of the day we have no eraser on offense. No all star offensive line we can lean on, no all star running back we can lean on, no incredible QB play we can lean on, no masterful play calling either.

The only edge we have on offense is a QB that can run and we don't really use that advantage well with our play calling either.

Not really, but our schedule last year was much easier compared to this year. We will probably lose on the road at least twice.

this time last year we had 6 ranked teams ahead on the schedule.

I like David but anybody who makes a statement like that after 2 games is just talking. Did anybody think we were a playoff team after our first two games against UTSA and Utah state last season? And at that time we had 4 top ten teams and # 13 & #15 on our schedule. Way to early for comments like that.

I don't think David's prediction is some sort of silly troll or whatever you're insinuating. This year's team isn't all that different from last years. It has one of the two flaws that last years team had. The kicking situation disappeared, but the inconsistent play by Reed, and this offense in general hasnt changed.

What has changed or its at least safe to assume is that this year's schedule is or will be tougher than last years.

1. Will Mizzou trot out a 3rd string QB? Probably not
2. Will LSU have their starting LT, and leader on defense out of our game? Kiffin is coaching there now. The LSU game should be much tougher
3. BAMA/UT/OU

Glad we're a good ways into the season. . . Wait, what? Its only been two weeks? Sweeping statements like this should be reserved for Oregon. ASU isn't the OSU that Oregon played. Too early to be that definitive.

Who hasn't looked flawed this season? Indiana and Gerogia because they haven't played a P4 team yet? Ohio State floundered in the 4th and tu was listless and booed off the field by their own fans for 3 quarters. That's 6 of your top 10 teams right there.

I would not say tu looks better. their defense isn't very good and OSU should their offense is very inconsistent.

Contender for what? Playoffs? Yes.

Deep(er) run (semis)? Probably not.

Championship? Hard no.

Could ANY of that change (either way)? Yes.

I have serious doubts about this offense, but even I don't see us going worse than 9-3 unless the wheels come off (I hate to say I've said that before, but we didn't have the defense we have now then). We might be outside looking in for a playoff spot at 9-3, but we'll be one of the last 2 out, so contender for sure.

Once in, you're obviously a contender to go deep. To win 3 or 4 games IN the playoffs? I don't see that. Not this year.

Correct! Thank you for saying that. Now let's circle back to the facts. Last years schedule was indeed not as hard as it first appeared. Are you putting all your chips in on this years schedule probably turning out easier than first anticipated?

Because everyone so far has all agreed that this years schedule is tougher than last years.
