That said, I think A&M likely handles UK and then who this team could be gets fully revealed in Red Stick.

Have to get better on offense. I think all five roadies this year are against improved teams from last year. D needs to be lights out.

SEC schedule this year is brutal especially road games. At best 50-50 to win the road games. Not saying we can't but odds are not good at this point without improvement.

I hate to say it, but David Pollack is right. These next two weeks will reveal a lot about our team. If we beat Kentucky by double digits with better offensive production than against Arizona State and lose a close game against LSU, I will go with 10-2. If we struggle against Kentucky at home and lose to LSU by 17+ points, I will go with 8-4.

And I don't really see any aspect of our team that is better than last year. Except for kicker.

A&Ms biggest curse is we typically play to the level of our competition. The only recent exception is with JFF.

Will feel more confident once we get good enough to score a touchdown in every quarter.

On Par 5; you can hit bad tee and fairway shots and be 200y away from pin for your third. Just put it on the green and the first 2 shots no longer matter.

If we were in the big 12 we would be a lock for playoffs. We haven't recruited or coached well enough to consistently win in the SEC against the top teams. Maybe if 6 teams get in. Also, Elko's inability to fix the primary problem on offense will hold us back.

It's not just us. Sure it gives them something to talk about but nobody looks unbeatable at this point. 2 weeks ago they were ready to crown Lsu then look at how they played the following week. This is the new college football nobody will be dominate. Indiana last year was a one off. Sure someone can end up with a great portal qb and roll but most teams will look like everyone else. I have no hobby only college football so I watch as many games and replays as possible.


It's the NFL model for maybe 50 teams any given Saturday type vibes. Nobody is really that good and an injury is all it takes because no one has any depth. Week 3 and week 12 will be night and day for everyone.

OP posted this like it was some kind of news to me. I've said since before spring ball, I didn't think we were gonna be a contender this year.

9 SEC game slate
5 of them are on the road in tough environments
A completely new offensive line
New OC, first time ever calling plays
New quarterback coach
New wide receiver coach
New tight end coach
New DC
New linebacker coach

Oh yeah, back to our schedule, almost half of it is unbelievable even on the media takes by the national talking heads when looking at that gauntlet that we have to run on those final 5 games and that is without even looking at the game coming up this weekend or much less having to go to the Bayou the following week. Yeah, one of the toughest in the entire country.

Again, as stated to start this off, I never thought we were a real contender this year with all those changes and all those factors at play. I have said it for many many months now that I think we end up either.8-4 or 9-3 and I still feel that way today. So as I said, I never really thought we were a real contender this year. I do however think in 27 we will be back as a real contender.

Wasn't a huge fan of the hire but... now the way the game has change great hire. Slow and steady hand will get this thing done. Eventually he will grab a senior portal qb and a few 5th year dline guys and we will win this thing or come close. We ended up with him by default but it will end up looking like a great decision because he will win.
I don't think Reed will be the reason we fail this year it not having KC will continue to make him look like a worst qb then last year.

Our LBs and safety play are better. Tackling and gap integrity will be better this year
