Why on earth would any SEC DC, in the middle of fall camp, be thinking about, discussing or even acknowledging any player besides the unit he's trying to prepare for the upcoming season? Good lord.

I think we all want Reed to do well. We all want the Ags to win big in the SEC and get another playoff appearance.

Unfortunately data points do not indicate he will in meaningful games. Acknowledging a data set that has a few outliers is not a crime.

Becks TD pass is generous application of the word pass as it was closer to a hand off than real pass.

And Reed has zero run support. You can argue that Reed played poorly with his interceptions but trying argue that Beck was better and the difference maker in the game is foolish and more a reflection of your illogical need to pin the last two game losses all on Reed.

Actually I put a lot of his failures on the most overrated OC in football. Thank god he done.

To be honest I don't believe any of these "a SEC coach said" articles. I coached, family members of mine coached, and many of my friends coached,. I cannot see any of them telling a reporter or podcaster anything about another teams player. if an SEC coach has the time or the lack of character to spill his guts to a podcaster or reporter about another teams player he probably shouldn't be coaching at that level. Oh, and by the way, unless this coach was the DC at Texas who got fired Marcel beat him.

One that can throw a deep ball that is caught by a member of his own team.

Reed is small and inaccurate.

Can't do much about the size (although having a OC who doesn't prefer a bulldozer back there might help). Hopefully he spent the offseason grinding on things that will help with the accuracy.

Kid is a good QB for us and will put up decent numbers. But he hasn't shown that he's a great QB

They do these anonymous coach comments articles every year. I assume they collect all the quotes during the offseason and hold them for the articles in august.

Reed would be a superstar at Blinn

I am just saying a coach may say this in a coaches meeting but it would shock me if they would get a call from a reporter and talk about another teams player. Can you see Elko doing this?
