I agree with this. Don't care as long as we get in playoffs. We need the committee to weigh this game the same as if it were in week 1 though. Losing at TU on Friday night should not weigh more than say a loss to Florida St in week 1. And that's exactly how they've been using it…TU winning at home at night even against us at 3 should borderline be anticipated

Sure have. I guess I am just more of a "listen to guys who actually know football" type of guy. Guys like Brooks Austin who can actually break down film. Although That SEC show can be funny sometimes. But neither in my opinion can really tell you what is going on in a game.

Since the comments about how long it's been since we've beaten tu ignore the 12 year hiatus, going into to the 2024 season we were .500 against the sips over the previous 18 years and have lost the last two since then.

I really want to win this year, but I agree with the sentiment that winning a national title or at least going far in the playoff far outweighs another loss to them.

Horns have nothing to show for it..same as it ever was..Also, it doesn't look like the SEC is catering to Texas this year but never let facts get in the way of a good story.

Adding fuel to our November trip to Norman, have to respect it.

Respectfully, we haven't had a playoff run yet.

We had two years where winning against the horns would've sent us to Atlanta and we collapsed both times. Then we managed 3 points at home in a playoff game.

The whole season doesn't ride on beating the sips, but we need to be able to beat that level of team when it matters late in the year.

Well, texags said every week that their QB was terrible. Then we saw the draft and all the NFL talent A&M had. I concluded that Elko had every advantage and all the motivation to beat ut-Austin and still choked it away.

I've lived too long when Aggies stop caring about not beating the sips.

Imagine it's summer 1984. Jackie Sherrill is our head coach, coming off a meh season in 1983 where the sips came to Kyle and blasted the all-maroon-wearing Ags 45-13. We're going into 1984 with the sips very highly ranked (#1 if I recall right).

And then came the first weekend in December with the Ags traveling to Austin as a decided underdog. Yeah, the Ags had beaten a ranked TCU team the previous week, but come on, this was the sips. This was another win for them, surely. Right?

Ags 37, sips 12. This launched a decade of dominance with the Ags reeling off 6 straight wins, losing a game on a failed 2-point conversion, and then reeling off 4 more.

It's an auto-win until it's not. Which will be this November.

Playing those clowns the last game of the season is the dumbest idea anyone at A&M has ever come up with or agreed to. Play them in the middle of the season so the players aren't under the pressure of playing a season-defining game against them every single year. We will play looser and probably be more likely to win.

They will pretty much always have equivalent or better talent than us…there's no reason to add pressure on the backs of our players by making it the last game of the season every ****ing year:

This 100 times! But remember all the youngsters that couldn't wait cause we were going to " beat them like a drum on the field" and kept crying to "bring the tradition back" cause, after all, we were now SEC hard and could whip them easily. It was going to be different now.
