Week 1 Missouri State | 6:00 PM | Win
Week 2 Arizona State | 11:00 AM | Win
Week 3 Kentucky | 2:30 PM | Win
Week 4 @ LSU | Flex Window | Loss
Week 5 Arkansas | Flex Window | Win
Week 6 @ Missouri | Early Window | Win
Week 7 The Citadel | 12:00 PM | Win
Week 8 @ Alabama | Flex Window | Loss
Week 9 BYE
Week 10 @ South Carolina | Afternoon Window| Win
Week 11 Tennessee | Flex Window | Win
Week 12 @ Oklahoma | Early Window | Win
Week 13 Texas | 6:30 PM (Friday Night) | Toss-Up

I never thought times would fall this much in our favor (esp with OU, Mizzou, and SC). But alas, it has which causes me to lean more toward 10-2 than 9-3 previously. I could easily see us still losing OU but maybe winning L$U or Bama, but to me, it's certainly raised our floor!

LSU and SC are 100% guaranteed night games.

Mizzou and OU are guaranteed Big12 11:00 am games.

Arkansas, Alabama, and Tennessee will be at whatever time disadvantages us the most. Probably Arkansas and Tenn at 11:00 am and Alabama at 2:30.

What do you mean by flip LSU and OU?

I know LSU always gets the night game, but if Oklahoma beat Michigan, Oklahoma v Georgia is pretty much assured to be the night game

You might need some coffee. This thread is talking about wins and losses. Not time slots.

So they have made the schedule release date a lie??? OUCH!!!

We beat LSU. LSU has a new team and coach. It's early season. And biggest of all LSU plays Ole Miss in Oxford the week before they play the Aggies. Playing tough teams back to back is one thing. Playing a very emotional game two weeks in a row is even tougher.

I am not sure how much of the team Kiffen brought with him
Might take more tha 6 weeks to get the kinks worked out.

Obviously this is not CBS deal when the afternoon game was the prize and it had some exclusivity
the night game on ABC is the "best" and there are multiple channels that will broadcast in that window and iirc the ABC game could be a non-SEC ( Notte dame at an ACC for example )

Much harder to guess whether we will be afternoon or night
That being said LSU does get more home night games than just about any other team

Time slots are easier to predict than wins and losses now.

SC is an afternoon game, not night.
Arkansas and Tennessee are flex, so definitely not 11am. They will be afternoon or night.

11-1 is the floor, assuming a couple of injuries. Otherwise, no reason we can't win out.

I am not saying we will lose but I think there is more that should be considered than just a given win while looking at the Kentucky game. Don't freak out, hear me out.

New HC will pull out all the stops and anything we haven't seen from his team up to that early point in the season. His DC has a great idea of how to defend and what to expect from Elko and what Mike wants to do and how he wants to do it. Look, I want to say again, I think we win Kentucky but just to make it seem a certainty when we have no idea how we are going to look in a game that early with a new OL, new OC, new QB coach, new WR coach and a new TE coach and facing a DC that has a good idea of what we want to do, just seems very presumptuous.

Also, I do think Lsu will be a loss in the bayou at night. I also think bama will be a loss in Ttown at night as well. I think the whorns are a loss just b/c it is less than a week after we have to travel to Norman. Tough place to play and a much tougher opponent than Arky at home which is what the whorns have.

So, I would say 9-3, but the question has to be, do we have a stumble at any of the other games? Are we going to be good enough with a pieced together OL facing probably a top D in the sooners in that game in Norman? How good is Tenn? Do they figure it out at QB and have one of the most explosive offenses in the country by the time they see us that late in the season. Again, is our OL good enough by that time when the Vols come calling? I think most have learned don't see on a game in Columbia, SC. Tough place to play. You just never know and we tend to struggle there.

Again, I think 9-3, but so many games could trip you up, it is the SEC after all.

If only college football actually worked in such a way that you could pencil in wins against the teams you expect to be better than and losses against the teams you expect to be equal or better. The actual season is likely to include a loss to a team that we will all predict a win in June And it will include win or multiple wins against teams where most of us predict losses/tossups. I am predicting 10-2 with the two losses at South Carolina and at OU.

First you acknowledge the difficulty of predicting outcomes in college football succcessfully, then you provide predictions in college football…

Bama will be in the toilet after A&M beats them. Coach DeBroing Boo boo will fired in 27.
No toss up in last game, Manning will be faking an injury to go get his bag of money in the NFL.

I think we have a floor of 8-4 and a ceiling of 11-1. I am predicting 10-2 with losses to LSU and Alabama.

I predict an early loss to LSU followed by several wins in a row, finishing with three straight losses.
A huge bummer ensues.

This early, 9-3 seems about right to me.

lsu, bama, ou away and t,u, at home appear to be the highest hurdles

lsu....get them in game 4 after they go to ole miss week 3, Have no idea yet what Kiffin is putting together

bama.....depends mostly on the new QB and if they have a run game this year

ou........ week 11 nov 21 could be a problem weather wise in Norman. So can several All American candidates
on the ou D. Whose QB still healthy that late in the season?

t.u........ can our AGS run fit Manning this year? Can Reed have a big game? Which team is healthy and peaking?

***........ one caveat re S. Carolina. I am thinking we will be ready to play them this year after the first half last
year and the last two trips to their place.

why not just say somewhere between 7-5 and 12-0 to fully hedge your position?

Replacing almost every starter on both lines of scrimmage, even with NIL talent, should result in some diminished play, no?

Even if the play is diminished a bit, I don't see four losses on the schedule as of now. Of course that could change… But which four teams do you see on our schedule that are better than us right now?

Ags will be dogs at LSU and Bama. Those are tough places to play.
Tenn and OU aren't pushovers, for different reasons. I see Ags dropping one of those.
sips have a better roster and Sark has outcoached Elko the last two years.
