I am happy for American professional football defensive end Myles Garrett who played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies. Receiving unanimous all-American honors in 2016, he was selected first overall by the Browns in the2017 NFL Draft. Garrett is the team's all-time career sacks leader. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2025 and has earned seven Pro Bowl and five first-team All-Pro selections. Garrett holds the NFL single season sack record (23), which he set in 2025.

I am a 49ers fan, but I am happy for Myles Garrett getting an opportunity to play for a Super Bowl contender. I think this move will make the NFC West an even bigger blood bath than last year when 3 teams went 12-5 or better.

Good. Maybe he'll finally get to be part of a deep playoff run. The Browns are beyond trash.

He should have left there a few years back when he had the chance.

But now he gets to go to the superbowl favorite and take the 160 million extension with him

I guess the rams are trying to duplicate history: pick up a future hof defensive end that went to Texas a&m and then win a Super Bowl

Makes the Ty Simpson pick even more confusing. If the Rams are going all-in, why waste that pick on a backup QB?

Great opportunity for Myles. He's a future Hall of Famer and deserves to play on a winner. The Rams have a great organization and coaching. Cleveland is a dumpster fire and will never win anything. He's been wasting his time there for years. Gig'em Myles!

I pay CA taxes and I've paid Texas taxes. When it's all said and done they're pretty close.

On the Von comparison, that was a really big trade when made. But compared to this, it barely makes a ripple

June in 2021, Von was still a very good player, but not close anymore to being the constantly dominant Hall of Famer we all know. He was not even a pro bowler in 2019, and missed all of 2020 with an injury.

Compare that to Garrett, who is
Currently the best defense player in the NFL, coming off a 23 sack season, and at the peak of his career

Dang, that really sucks for Myles. His tax rate just went up by 10%, so he just took a 10% cut in salary for that trade. After taxes, his $40 million salary just went from ~$24 million to ~$20 million. And that's before you factor in the cost of living increases.
