When Ole Miss Beat Alabama the SEC mafia searched thousands of phone calls to unseat Freeze.
An Ole Miss alum advised me that Alabama and MS State were behind it, like a crime family war.

The new Mob bosses are Kiffin and Sark.

Lane Kiffin is making claims that some recruits won't got to Oxford because of what happened 60 years ago in Oxford , but for some reason Kiffin at Alabama, never had players with similar issues regarding Selma or George Wallace.

Sark jumped on the insult wagon claiming their academics are low, which infers the players are stupid. I am surprised this is not seen as racism, based on the demographic of the roster.

I like that Coach Elko is smart enough to stay out of this stuff.

LSU's coach seemingly brings out the worst in everyone.

I believe Elko will stay out of the fray. Any discussion involving academics in today's cfb environment is pretty much a joke anyway . Not that a recruit can't parlay a meaningful academic career out of being recruited to a school but it's a personal choice to do so and it's overwhelmingly the exception rather than the rule .

in Mafia terms Sark and Kiffin are lieutenants. Big money Bama, GA, Auburn, maybe even UFL alums are the Dons.

This is funny, some people seem to think it's new. The horns griped about Nebraska for years before they finally got the rules changed to remove someone else's advantage. If you can't beat them within the rules then change the rules.

I'm wondering why this mafia only chose one coach to get fired. It was kind of them to exercise discretion for the head coaches of Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia and Tennessee.

Yeah, because Louisiana has never had a problem with racism.
I don’t get enough credit for the things I manage not to say.

Not sure how you came that conclusion, but I graduated from a private University close to Elko's school and have never posted something positive about tu.

Actually, when the Big 12 formed, every school except Nebraska voted to stop allowing partial qualifiers. Nebraska went from good to great with their partial qualifiers from California to add to their program while in the latter years of the Big Eight, which got them two CFB MNCs in 1994 and 1995. By the time that finally caught up to them, Nebraska went from the best team in the land to being a has been with 15 years. And their joining of the B1G has done nothing for their football program.

Lots of money. They might come back because money is helpful for competing now.

Huh? It wasn't some big conspiracy. It was the guy suing Ole Miss on behalf of Houston Nutt for blaming him for their NCAA infractions. And a guy that covers Ole Miss in-state rivals helped.

Houston Nutt's attorney claims Ole Miss delaying Hugh Freeze's phone records release

Basically, the lawyer reached out to the college football fan, who suggested submitting a request for the records on the day the infractions were handed down. Then the lawyer padded it by a few days and, whoops, Hugh Freeze had a call to an excort service.

The only conspiracy part of this was Freeze and some dude named Bjork calling media members who then reported that it was all Houston Nutt's fault. Can't believe someone would hire someone after doing something that unethical, and doing it so incompetently.

Actually Robert Berdahl was the president in Austin during that time and lobbied for the changes. John Wefald (president of KState during the formation) basically laid it at the feet of Berdahl.

"The truth is no outside academic leader has dented Nebraska's athletic and academic standing over the years more than Bob Berdahl"

Did the schools vote? Sure. Were the horns pushing REALLY hard on the vote? Absolutely.
