Complain at the lack of consistency... that's fine. Especially at the end of the season. It was troubling. But those bagging on his talent and abilities are just wrong.

Because the guy I responded to said he lacked arm strength. And in the research, I found plenty of instances refuting the OP that said he can't throw with touch.

Yeah, maybe not every single pass but often. He has plenty of arm strength. Accuracy is the much bigger issue imo

Well, this isn't the NFL, so there's that.

He has arm strength but it's not accurate arm strength. The throwing mechanics he uses look more like a center fielder trying to throw out a runner at home plate. Very hard to have touch and consistency like that.

He did throw some passes with touch...

His bad ones that come to mind related to this is for instance under pressure trying to dump it off or throw a screen he'd speed up instead of staying under control and put touch on those throws. He'd feel the pressure and put some speed on it trying to get it out. Big area of improvement he needs there. In those situations have to be able to calmly get rid of it with the right touch knowing the pressure is bearing down.

Reed definitely threw some passes that were Reggie McNeal-esque in that they had too much velocity for how short the distances were, but he also doesn't have the same overall arm strength Reggie did either. Marcel did well often getting the ball into smaller windows, but he would throw stupid picks, especially in the red zone, that would baffle me. It's not like he's Johnny Manziel making up for it on the next drive either.

If the interception issues don't get corrected before next season then someone else needs to take over.

Overall I saw noticeable improvement in 2025 despite Reed benefiting greatly from having guys like KC, Mario, and Leveon to carry the offense. He needs more consistency and to not try and be a hero despite having shown the ability to win a big time game like in South Bend.

Its funny you bring this up. Ive seen him make some throws that look exactly like a shortstop. He must have a heavy background with baseball. The throws im referencing are 100% shortstop
