Slight chance at a RB but not a stud RB1, same for LB. There is a chance for DT and if Miller decides he would rather be an Aggie than get more playing time and money.

I wouldn't expect a ton unless someone the staff really likes falls into our lap

Figured we'd be going after a legit RB1 that had 1, max 2 years left. Owens doesn't look like he's gonna be "the guy", and the rest are young and green.
Hopefully he'll have an incredible offseason turnaround.

I think so and he's a take. Just like we'd take Miller if he is ok with no gaurantee of playing time and less money.

Apparently Baylor offered him decent money but he would be a 4th WR for us so we didn't go big.

Here is how our Portal results looks after this weekends Aggieland visits:

1. Isaiah Horton, Alabama WR, Junior, 6'4" 208lbs. --- Committed to the Aggies
2. Angelo McCullom, Illinois DL, Sophomore, 6'2" 290lbs --- Committed to the Aggies

3. Donta Simpson, Miami DL, Freshman, 6"3" 300lbs --- Committed to Missouri
4. Makhi Frazier, Michigan State RB, Sophomore, 5"10" 220lbs --- Undecided - Still available

Vander what's the holdup on Frazier? Seems like an ideal fit

We are being honest with the guys we've looked at. We expect for FB numbers and carries. That isn't going to be easy to land when they can be RB1 or RB2 at other schools and make more money.

I'm not ready to say we're done just yet but I do think we have our guys.

I take it with the new commits we're done at DT?

I know last year there was a lot of talk of landing a DT who never went in the portal and we hosted the kid from Michigan but doesn't look like we'll land him.

Hopefully there is some development from kids like Rink and Sanders but I worry some of the run defense issues stemmed from not having someone in the interior who could dominate. Onyedim and and Regis were great but none of them is a 6'4" 320 lb monster.

Brauninger did say 1 or 2 guys could decide to stay that entered the portal. Bryce Anderson, Jayvon Thomas, Daelyn Evans, Jonte Newman are the 4 guys that have not committed or signed somewhere else to this point.

I think he, like Face, Snowball, Panhandle Slim, Ragnar, and so many others, got married and their wives made them do chores instead of hanging out with us on the internet.

As the portal season fades off into the distance, I'm beginning to feel an emptiness.

The hopeful case for Owens would be that it'll be his second year back from an ACL injury, and maybe we can coach a jump like we saw from EJ last offseason. Not saying that's gonna happen, but one can hope ...

I don't remember Owens leaning out over his feet his freshman year.
Sure hope that kid bust out next season!
