I think one needs to do a bit more analysis. How many of the QB's in front of Reed had more playing experience than Reed or are older? How tough was that said teams schedule? Reed can continue to grow. Yes, there are QB's with little college experience who can light it up, but those aren't the normal reality. Reed was a R-Sophomore and has 2 more years of eligibility or maybe 10 more years the way things are going. Looking at the list below, I would say at least 80% of it are juniors and seniors. In the top 10, all but 2 are juniors and seniors. Those 2 - ND and OSU. ND had a pretty easy schedule minus 2 games. OSU had a pretty easy schedule as well - playing tu early and got beat by the only decent team in IU.

Is Reed the greatest? No, he has work to do. Can he help A&M get into the NC? Remains to be seen, but saying a sophomore can't get us there b/c he was #23 in QBR is foolish.

I would rather spend the money on Coleman and some good OL. I wasn't impressed with the running back group so a proven running back would be nice too. Not sure what the budget it.

This. Reed had 1 good half (South Carolina) in the 2nd half of the year; other than that, he played his best ball in the 1st half of the year. He sucked the last 2 games.
