Haynes just showed he still got ALOT of Aggie in him on that final drive

He had so many opportunities to keep plays alive by taking what was there. Instead, much like our current guy, he goes for it all. It worked out on the 4th and 15. Bit him in the rear at the end.

King was never a good passer

Strange play calls from the OC with all the timeouts in their pocket.

King is a warrior. Much respect for his intensity. He carried that team on his back all year.

Why don't running QBs not trust what got them there??
Too busy trying to be pocket passers.
If you are a mobile QB- embrace it.

It was so confusing.

Meanwhile, I was laughing at myself... for a moment, I was a pretty big Yellowjackets fan.

It was definitely a push off, but I was hoping GT would win.

Perhaps not as quick, but way tougher.

How many season ending injuries does Reed have again?

Maybe it was Jimbo but he was terrible here and didn't really improve until 4-5 years into college

We keep pushing to play Freshmen QBs and get mad when they aren't JFF. I think Reed is every bit as good as HK but it is amazing how much a QB can improve by being a little older and in the system for at least a little while. However, I saw HK making the same mistakes that Reed makes.

Also, we don't do a good job of developing our backups so far under Elko. We had several opportunities to get the back ups playing time and waited until Samford.

Ah, another thread of proof that our clueless whiny fans will never get it.

The qb who single handedly **** the bed against Ap State.

Is now worshipped for beating mid majors somewhere else.

How did your precious do against SEC defenses?

But I guess worshipping King makes it easy for people who don't understand the game to blame all of their problems on a former coach.

Jimbo was a fast talking fraud, that knew how to throw people under the bus for his career gain. Enjoy winning the lottery Fisher.

Wrong!!

Here are the reported 40-yard dash times for Haynes King (quarterback, currently at Georgia Tech, formerly Texas A&M):

40-Yard Dash Times
~4.50 seconds Most commonly cited as his 40-yard dash time from recruiting/pro-day measurements.
~4.45 seconds (hand-timed) Some older reports from Texas A&M coaching staff timed him near this mark.

Here are the reported 40-yard dash times for Marcel Reed (Texas A&M quarterback):

Recruiting / pre-college / unofficial reports
Some recruiting profiles list Reed's 40-yard dash around 4.43 seconds during summer workouts before college.
Other recruiting or scouting info shows a range like 4.42-4.56 seconds (low/high range), with an average around ~4.49 in some projections.

I wish Haynes King's collegiate career would have worked out here, but I am glad he thrived at Georgia Tech and is training for the NFL draft. Like King, Conner Weigman needed a change of scenery, and he has been thriving at Houston and will continue playing there next year.

My son goes to GT and I have watched Haynes all 3 years there.

In his first year, he looked like he did at A&M, lots of turnovers.

Second year, he took a BIG jump forward and it was amazing to see the change. He looked like a different QB.

This year it did not look like he made a huge jump, but looked more confident. He was stronger and more mentally consistent. I believe this was the result of being the 3rd year in the system.

He did not go to Tech and have an immediate turn around, It took 3 years of gradual progression.
