Haynes is in his 6th year… I'd bet as much as anything, that's a massive reason why he's elevated to a decent college QB.

Having a good QB coach can make a big difference. Chris Weinke has really helped Haynes at GT.

Can we go get the GT QB coach Chris Weinke? If he develops Reed to become anything like King, we're probably getting to the semis in the next 2 years. Haynes went to a sub-60% passer to north of 70% under his development.

Not being able to walk does tend to impair development.

Not defending Jimbo - King found the right coach and situation but he's also a 6th year senior who's had some time to work.

We had 'the great QB whisperer' as our head coach and the QB coach on paper was really a receiver coach - Dameyune Craig, who is now coaching receivers at Georgia State University.

Haynes King is a good guy and a tough football player. Big difference between playing against ACC defenses vs SEC defenses. Can't compare Haynes as a freshman and sophomore at A&M under Jimbo vs King today as Haynes will be 25 years old in about 2 weeks

Yall love to make posts like this after a couple of drives in a game. I will take Reed, who led us to an 11-2 season in the sec and playoff appearance over King, whose acc team went 9-4 including a pop tart bowl loss.
